Pen Modification

This is my new pen mod that i thought it would be better than Super Grip G3.

Pens needed:
-Pilot Super Grip Knock (Ballpoint pen, not Mechanical pencil.)
-Pilot G3 gel (There are metal tip and plastic tip but it doesn't matter)


Tools needed:
-Tooth pick
-Handsaw (I hope you use sissors instead so that you won't screw it up)
-Ruler

1) Pilot Super Grip's Grip (Unmodified)

2) Tooth pick (Modified):
Cut it from the back part so that it is 4cm long.

3) Pilot Super Grip spring (Unmodified)

4) Pilot G3's barrel (Modified)
Take off the grip.  And use a chopstic or something to take off the back black part of the pen.

5) Pilot Super Grip's Knock part (Modified)
Cut the barrel leaving 1.7cm of the black part naked. Warning: Dont cut ur fingers, and dont accidently cut the black part.  I recommend using sissors because of this reason.  May take long time with it, but less risk.

6) Pilot G3's cap (Modified)
Cut from the top so that it's 3cm long. Dont accidently cut ur fingers and dont accidently cut from the bottom of it or else it won't go through.  I recommend using sissors because this cap is easy to cut.

7) Pilot G3's tip (Unmodified)
There are metal tip and plastic tip types to G3 but it doesn't really matter. It does look cooler if you use metal tip...unfortunatly, there aren't any metal tip in Japan.

8) Pilot Super Grip inktube (Unmodified)

1) Put the tooth pick into the back part of the Inktube of Pilot Super Grip.  Put the pointy part in first.  The inktube should be longer now.

2) Put the G3 Cap into the Super Grip Knock, ringed part first, and through the clear barrel first.  Keep pushing it hard until the ring goes little further making a satisfying move.  The G3 Cap should now not be able to move unless you put a lot of forces to get it out.

3) Put the whole part from Step 2 into the G3 barrel.  In some cases, it would go in fast (Like mine) or some may be hard to put it in.

4) Put the inktube into the G3 barrel, and close it with the G3 pen tip.

5) Put the Super Grip's Grip around the G3 barrel. (Where used to be the part where G3 grip was.) The grip should over lap the pen tip a little.

6) Put your insert in, or mark the COG
