A. Basic ROTC Program

MILITARY SCIENCE (MS) 1 (Basic ROTC Common Module) is a module that serves as introduction of the Basic ROTC program. Subjects under this module are common to the three (3) branches of service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines – Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Navy (PN) and the Philippine Air Force (PAF). It includes lectures and practical exercises on Drills and Ceremonies, Map Reading, Individual Combat Tactics and Weapons Training. Likewise, training on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Disaster Relief & Rescue operations are included in this module.

MILITARY SCIENCE (MS) 2 (Basic ROTC Navy Module) is the second term NROTC module that provides midshipmen the knowledge and skills necessary for naval enlisted reservist. It covers subjects on Naval operations, Seamanship, Navigation, Damage Control and Naval Tactics. Also included in the program is an elective subject for midshipmen who chose to specialize in Marines operations that will qualify them as Marines enlisted reservists.

B. Special Programs

ADVANCE ROTC PROGRAM (NS 31, 32, 41, 42) is a program for two (2) years that will provide midshipmen the knowledge and skills necessary for Naval/AFP officer reservists. Requirements in taking this program are the completion of the Basic NROTC program and the Midshipman Officers’ Candidate Course (MOCC).

MIDSHIPMAN OFFICERS’ CANDIDATE COURSE (MOCC) is the course for midshipmen who volunteers/signifies to become a member of the Corps of Midshipman Officers. This can be undertaken while undergoing or have completed the Basic NROTC program.

MILITARY SCIENCE (MS) 3 is a live-in training in military camp/bases conducted during summer aimed of providing basic ROTC graduates military knowledge and skills necessary to qualify them for Advance ROTC Course.

NAVAL SCIENCE (NS) 43 is a sixty (60 day Summer Shipboard Training aboard Philippine Navy vessels designed for graduates of the Advance NROTC course and a requirement for commissionship in the Reserve Force, AFP.
