The Skryar hills are right on the border of the Cuiltas kingdoms thus they are the last defense against the Cuiltas kingdoms. They are what keep the people of the Dail Empire safe from the Cuiltas invasions. The majority of the Skryar hills are occupied by the military with the warrior's families stationed in highly fortified towns. There are three towns. The northerly town right before North's Gate Stinortay town. Then there is the easterly town of Birtis town, and then the westerly town of Florancia town. These towns are highly fortified with keeps and stone buildings to protect from fires and storms, as well as high walls around them and hard sharp spike walls surrounding the perimeter of the walls. A hard drawbridge that would span over a moat also helps in the towns defenses.

Due to the fact that the warriors have there family in these towns when they are not on patrol or at the wall they are at there appropriate town training and spending time with there families.

Many man are permanently placed at the wall for years at a time, thus there is a keep made of four towers, The west tower, east tower, north tower, south tower, where they can bring there family to life while they are on duties. Because the weather on the plains are always temperet there is no fear of the cold and harshness of winter all year long. The Skryar hills are a beautiful place to live, but one filled with constant skirmishes between borders.
