Hello and Welcome to Darcia Bliss Rattery, very small hobby rattery in Greenbrae, California, just south of San Rafael!
About Me:
My name is Madison Ford, I am a 17 year old Senior at Redwood High School. I love all animals, and its this love which has led me into horse back riding, rehibilitation of wildlife (I specialized in aquatic birds with
Wildcare), and owning rats since I was five years old. I love my rats very much, they are my only pets and I adore them. I have
big plans for them, but I'm limited to small goals until I'm out of my parents house, pity! My rats are handled daily; loved,
cuddled, and played with. They get to run around my house, and are trained to come when I call their name! They don't go to the
bathroom outside their cages, don't bite, and love to kiss my hands and play wrestle with them. They are my mini dogs, and are
probably smarter than most peoples canines!!

Practices: For bedding, we use CareFresh, a biodegradable recycled pulp that cannot be used
for paper because it is oil, chemical, and ink free. It is dust free and does not have any cedar or pine oil. Food wise,
we use our own mix from an assortment of feeds. It includes sunflower seeds, dog biskets, corn, lab blocks, and lots of
other tastey and healthy stuff that the rats love! They also get a wide range of 'people food' and treats such as pasta, cheese, cooked or raw fruits and veggies, and anything else that may be left over from our own dinner! I do NOT breed feeder rats, nor will I adopt them out for the purpose
of breeding feeder rats.
