A Guide for DAoC Hunters

Introduction

Dark Age of Camelot’s hunter class is a versatile rogue with many viable specialization options facilitating a wide variety of play styles. Hunters are Midgard’s archer class, but also have access to two hand melee weapons, servant hounds, and stealth. Whether you choose to emphasize one of these skills or dabble in all of them, you will find hunters an effective and rewarding class in many situations, to include 1v1 combat, realm defense, and rogue groups.

Here’s a link to Mythic’s somewhat dated description of the class:

About This Site

I wrote this guide because I wanted to be able to refer inquisitive realm mates to a consolidated resource instead of answering questions individually. Most of the content is copied and pasted from various posts myself and others have made on the Vault Network's Midgard Rogue Forum: http://vnboards.ign.com/midgard_rogue_professions/b20912/p1 (special thanks to the former Hunter Team Lead, Mirvana, for his contributions to this site and service to the community).

I have only ever played on Midgard Merlin, and so I have no experience or insights into successful play on the classic cluster. If you play on classic and would like to contribute to this site, use the email bellow to contact me. You can email me here with feedback: daochunter@yahoo.com.

If you're a new hunter or a returning hunter, I hope this site will help you.

Best of luck to you all, and happy hunting.
