I've come a long way from slapping canned icing onto a baked cake left in the pan (with a few candles) for my children's birthday.

I'd never even considered decorating, until my husband volunteered me to learn what I now consider, beautiful art back in 2002.

 My teacher, and now dearest friend, Lois, taught me the ropes (and roses) with patience, coffee, and a lot of Q&A time, which we still have often. I am forever grateful, and thank God for her. 

This cake was for the daughter of our wonderful friends and I was blessed to be able to help, Steve and Pam....

Cake decorating has become more than a hobby for me, it's an OBSESSION !!
