POET

POETRY BOOKS

'Swithering' by Robin Robertson. The poem 'Myth' is one of the finest short poems I've read.

'Relatively Unscathed' by Idris Caffrey. Published by Cinnamon Press, see in Links. Well crafted and clear sighted poetry.

'The Drier the Brighter' by Judy Kendall. Published by Cinnamon Press. Minimalist clarity.

'Collected Poems vol 1' by William Carlos Williams.

'Collected Poems' by Charles Reznikoff. This book will have to be ordered from America. Although 'Heffers' in Cambridge should have it in stock.

'Collected Poems vol 1 and 2' by Robert Creeley. Just been published by the Univerity of California Press. Will have to be ordered from America.

'The Drowned Book' by Sean O'Brien, a deserved winner of the forward prize and T.S. Eliot prize.

'Selected Poems' by Geoffrey Hill, an overlooked (sometimes dense) but major poet. His Collected Critical Writings has just been published by Oxford University Press and is worth a look.

'Gift Songs' by John Burnside, good stuff.
