Meteor/Shooting Star Watching Tips

Meteors also known as shooting stars can be seen in any location on earth there are also good locations for different meteor showers and to get into viewing them in the nightsky you have to understand what they are and you may be wondering and asking yourself well How do I find them or locate them? well the simple answer is to sit under a clear sky on any given night best when there is a meteor shower but if not you will still see random ones. First of all sit down outside remember to follow the safety rules and look and preferablly get a sun chair or something you can lay back this will stop you from twisting your neck ooouch. Lay as far back on your back and look in the sky and make sure you give your eyes at least 20-30 minuets of time to get adjusted to the darkness without looking at any light. Once you do pick a piece of sky and keep your eyes focused on that part and also use your eyes side to side without blinking alot and you will probally spot a shooting star. They shoot straight accross the sky and will go quite quickly in a matter of secconds. They can be different colours and in different brightness and if you look for ages you should find some shoot accross the sky. The best way is to find a dark location were a shooting star would become more visible to the naked eye. THE best thing is you will not need any instrument just the naked eye.
