My name is Michelle Mock. I am a yoga practitioner and the Director of GoodBody’s Yoga Studio. I am currently compiling a list of teachers and studios that are interested in participating in the THIRD Annual Dallas Metroplex Free Day of Yoga on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2009. This idea began with the Austin Yoga Community 10 years ago and has blossomed into a Nationwide Annual Yoga Event. Last year our second annual FDOY was a success with over 50 studios participating from
The idea is simple – The Dallas Metroplex Yoga Community, all the local teachers and studios, join together for the event. Everyone can participate by either teaching a class, offering your studio space as a venue, taking classes, donating time as a volunteer and/or all four! There is a web page www.freewebs.com/dallasfreedayofyoga and we will have a marketing campaign to create community awareness of the event. A flyer with the schedule of free classes, teachers and studio addresses will be distributed to generate interest and participation in our community’s Third Annual Free Day of Yoga!
Let us join together again for the THIRD ANNUAL METROPLEX FREE DAY of YOGA and in support of our Yoga Community. The Free Day of Yoga will benefit our teachers, studios and students in several ways:
Would You Like to Participate or Volunteer?
If you are interested in participating, offering a class or classes at your studio, teaching a class, sharing your studio space with teachers that want to teach yet need a space to teach and/or volunteer your time please complete the attached form to describe how you want to participate. Send the form via email to m.m.mock@sbcglobal.net or via mail to Michelle Mock c/o GoodBody’s Yoga Studio
Last year’s feedback was unanimously positive plus we deepened our sense of community. It is true that nothing embodies sense of community more than a like-minded group of people taking action towards evolving a common endeavor. I hope everyone has an opportunity to participate this year.
Thank you in advance for sharing your time, energy, resources and skills in support of our yoga community.
Namaskar,
Michelle
