Daisies Animal Sanctuary

Small Animal Services

About the Sanctuary (currently in editing)

It all started in June 2007, I (Freya) started collecting unwanted and free to good home rabbits at a small holding in the country. Now all animals are housed in my home, this improves their care endlessly.

I have a National Diploma in Animal Management and a Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I have experience working in other rescues, specialist veterinary practices and an animal acting school, and have cared for a range of animals including Snakes, Spiders, Lizards (large and small) and other reptiles, amphibians and aquatics, lots of different small mammals including hedghogs, sugargliders, and some more exotic species.  I have much experience with livestock and poultry, horses and ponies in many different industries and at many different levels.

With this I am offering a unique service to all pets in any environment, but mainly focusing on the typical child's pet such as hamsters, rats, rabbits ect... I hope that via social stimulation, exercise and education I can improve relationships between small pets and their owners, resulting in improved awareness and a reduction of unwanted animals in the long run.

I aim to execute this with training classes, with and without the handler.  The extra attention and devotion to aggressive animals will help them to become understanding and acceptable pets.  Grooming sessions help to improve the trust bond when an animal is handled and I run rehoming services for the most troubled rabbits.
