Volvo S70 SE Turbo...

This was my Volvo S70. I had owned it for 2 years and 2 months until I sold it on the 26th of Aug 2006. It's the SE model, complete with a 2435cc engine boasting 5 cylinders, 20 Valves, injection and twin camshafts. Producing a healthy 193 bhp at the moment, the car is capable of a 0-60mph sprint in 7.5 seconds... Quite fast for a heavy car, but the engine is silent even with the pedal to the floor and the acceleration and power just keeps on coming, regardless of which gear or whichever speed you are driving at...

I decided to add 17" alloys, the Volvo is now starting to look a little more evil and sporty. The alloys I've chosen are "BK Racing 299". These are great alloys and I've added "Goodyear Eagle F1" tyres to them which are sized at 215/45ZR17. The grip has now been vastly improved, especially when driving around corners and the whole composure of the car feels much more positive on the open road.

The Volvo S70 is a great car to drive. The driving position is fantastic, the car handles easily and overtaking is effortless. In addition, there is electronic equipment and gadgets everywhere to keep you amused and in control... From the illuminated vanity mirrors and heated leather seats to the digital on board computer display, dual climate crontrol and vented ABS brakes.

Even when the car isn't moving, the S70 is an excellent choice as it has a Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser, movement sensors located in four locations, twin Led security lights, an advanced dead-locking system, locking petrol cap and alloy wheel locking nuts all as standard.

Volvo S70 SE you see in these pictures is not totally standard. It has been fitted with a few extras from Volvo, these include the Sports Pack (front fogs, rear spoiler, leather steering wheel), Comfort Pack (electronic dual climate control, electric sunroof, leather child seat, digital information centre), Winter Pack (Headlamp wipe wash, heated seats, traction control) and some optional extras such as lowered suspension, CD player, cruise control, floor mats and leather/chrome gear knob.

So all in all, the S70 is an amazing car that is suited perfectly for effortless motorway cruising and offers refined acceleration in any gear and at any speed. The well designed leather seats are excellent and with the cruise control activated, the Volvo S70 feels like it's floating along and is perfectly capable of taking you on a very, very long journey in total comfort. I've also added a private registration plate as you can clearly see from the piccy below, which masks the car's true age and also adds that personal touch.
