Welcome to DachsKatze cattery, a cattery deticated to the lovable, wonderful Munchkin cats. Please feel free to browse around our site, and take a look at our cats. Munchkins are beautiful cats that can do anything other cats can do. They come in every coat and eye color, come in short haired and longhaired, and come in standard (short legged) or non-standard (long legged, where the dwarfism gene is missing). At least one parent must be standard to produce standard kittens. Often Munchkin breeders keep non-standards in their breeding programs.
Munchkins are recognized by The International Cat Association (TICA), American Association of Cat Enthusiasts (AACE), and The Dwarf Cat Association (TDCA).
We currently show in TICA and CFA HHPK and are well on our way to becoming a registered TICA cattery this 2008. Our breeding goals are as stated on the "About Us" page. We breed for the betterment of the breed, and for the love of the breed. We breed for health, temperment, conformation, and the short legged gene which the breed is famous for.
