Wow, it's been a while. So hope you guys did well on your finals :D

We have couple events coming up! First of all, we are having elections for officers for 2008-2009! Positions open are President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Publicist. Application will be handed out during the meeting. Two walks are coming up, MS Walk and Relay For Life, they are both are April. Come to the meeting for more information. Also, collect pop tops (those things on top of soda cans) so we can donate them in the MS Walk!

We will also be doing the district project the first week of Feb. We will be going to Lightfoot Elementary School and put up a poster about earthquakes (you don't want little kids getting hurt in earthquakes, do you?) and we'll go to the elementary classes and talk about earthquakes and safety.

There will be a DCM at PFF Bank (Euclid and Fourth) tomorrow (1/25). Go, especially if you're running for an officer position.

If you haven't heard alreayd, DCON is coming up soon. If you are sure you are going. it costs $138 (188 if you pay later) and you have to fill out applications. But it is fun and will be held in Sacramento!! 3 days and 2 nights at a five star hotel! More information about DCON in FAQ page. Start saving up money!

And the Key Club Year is ending (Key Club runs from april to april) so we'll be having our banquet soon! So keep your ears open during the meeting for more information.

Also, if you want to be in the key club scrapbook, get the picture release form in the meeting or come and ask me (Michelle) for the form!

Hpyy New Year! Its finally 2008 and here's one new upcoming event for those of you that want to participate in future Key Club officer or maybe LTG! There will be a LTG training on January 12, 2008. It is to train and inform people about the position of LTG (see FAQs page for information on the role of a LTG). It will be held at Orange Coast College at 11 am. the address is 2701 Fairview Rd Costa Mesa, Ca 92626. Please contact me or one of the officers if you wish to go. If you know you are going please tell us ASAP!

I'm such a good historian, updating the key club website and uploading key club pictures on Christmas Day...you should all talk on the forum to say how awesome I am :D

Anyways, after a couple days of work, I've uploaded pictures from angel tree, from when we went to buy gifts (whcih came up to 146 dollars!!!)  and when we wrapped and delivered them, pictures from the DCM/DIvision Social on the 21st , as well as pictures for Kiwanis See's Candy Sale on the 23rd when me and David went to volunteer. Also pictures from the club meeting on friday and when we sold holiday grams :D All of those pictures are up on the website :D

Also, if you are interested in running for an office next year. Start thinking about it. The elections will be coming shortly after finals! You can only run for President, VIce-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, or Publicist. Class Reps and committee chairs are only assigned, you can not run for those. Start thinking about which offices that you might be best in, why you should be elected, and how are you going to help the club, etc. And also, start talking to the officers about it, be in a good standing with the officers and you will have a better chance :D

 Also, the DCM/Division Social (12/21): meet at Vince's for the DCM around 5ish. The skating rink is across the resturant, (on Holt Between Mountain and Benson). Bring money for dinner and skating! (about 20?)

We're still doing See's Candy Sale and it ends on the 23rd. so go and see if they need any help!! (Baseline and Haven)

Oh yea, Christine our president is in Vietnam!! Comment her on her myspace and wish her well! So, I'll be conducting the meeting tomorrow, whooo! :D

We are delivering Angel Tree presents tomorrow, Thursday 12/20 at around 4 pm. Go to Mr. L's room after school for a ride. If you can, bring food for the family. If you see me, Michelle, ask to sign the card for the family. Also, if you are going with another ride, ask one of the officers for the address (or see Mrs. Smith and ask her where the Key Club Angel Tree Family lives.)

We are still selling Christmas Grams for one dollar. Thursday will be the last day that we are selling them so come and support Key Club!!!

The DCM/Division Social will be on Friday. It will be at Vince's Spagetti for the DCM then we will go over to Ontario Skatinf Rink for the division social. Bring your own money for food and stuff!

The pictures from the VIP dinner...from a while ago are up!! Whoooo!! :D Finally..i know xD

We are still doing the Kiwanis Sees Candy Sale so go over to the store and see if they need any help! GAP is still every Thursday, so if you are not going to Angel Tree go to GAP! And don't forget to make a card for the soldiers in Iraq and bring it in on Friday!

Pictures are up, from the Kiwanis Lunch (that most of you didnt go to), latest pictures from GAP Food Bank and club meetings (to see the latest pictures, just click on the picture and look at the subalbums), as well as pictures from when we went buying gifts for angel tree. Pictures from DATE AUCTION are up!! The VIP Club Dinner pictures will be up in a day or two..sorry.

 Dat Auction went well, we made about 160 dollars for PTP!!!

 We are current;y looking for a new web host that allows us to make our own layout, so if you know one thats free, tell us!

 We are still accepting toys and clothes from you to give to Angel Tree. Call Christine or Robbie for what the kids and the guardians want! If you want to help deliver  the gift, contact one of the officers for more info. (I might be giving rides :D)

Write a card for the soldiers in Iraq!! Draw/write up a card and give it to one of the officers!

Don't forget the DCM and Division Social will be held on the 21th. The DCM will be at Vince's and then the social will be at the skating rink across Vince's. Contact one of the officers or go to the meeting for more info.

If you want to volunteer at the Kiwanis See's Candy Sale, contact Christine for dates/time. Or drop by the store (haven and baseline) at 4 pm or 6 pm to see if they have shifts avaliable.

Again, GAP is avaliable to everyone! So go! If you need a ride, go to Mr. L's room (woodshop room) after school or around 3 30 to get a ride.

 Whooo! Well, this is the beginning of a long tradition. I hope we can continue to add to this website and keep it going :D Cheers to the beginning of the RCHS Key Club Website!!

There is the Rose Float Decoration on Saturday. IF you need a ride, contact one of the officers. It will be from 9 am to 5 pm. We will get back around 6 pm...hopefully. :D Also the VIP Club Dinner will be on Sunday. Places are limited. If you want a spot, contact one of the officers. It will be from noon to 2 pm at central park. And DATE AUCTION is on the 14th!! If you wanna be sold, contact Christine Le! Be there and buy your guy/gal of your dreams!!! It is a potluck so bring food, like real food...not snack =_= We will be selling Christmas Grams in the quad during lunch so support key club and buy a gram!! Don't forget the toy drive and angel tree, bring in toys and wrapping paper!!!

Okay, I know many of you are wondering about how to record your hours and how to sign in. After weeks of organizing, here it is!! At the meetings, look for a white binder that says Key Club on it. In it, find your name or if you haven't made a sheet for you yet, make one. Then check in all the meetings you've went and write in community service you've done in the space provided. Get one of the officers to sign it. If you have any questions ask any of the officers, perferrably before or after the meeting.

 One last thing, don't forget to make a card to soldiers in our troops fighting in Iraq. Make a card personal and bring it to the meetings or give it to one of the officers.
