In 2006, I will be willing to take visitors to Cyprus out on day trips to the best birding sites in Southern Cyprus for a competitive fee. Having spent six months of 2005 in Cyprus I gained plenty of knowledge of how to get to the best sites and what to see there. Also I also watched a top migration spot where basically every day was different, I found here that not just the quality of birds was good but the quantity of birds seen. Fantastic if you want to see Cyprus Wheatear, Cyprus Warbler, the site pictured above for example produced 5+Eleonora's Falcons, Alpine Swifts, Olivaceous, Sardinian and Cyprus Warblers all in a few hours. Demoiselle Cranes pass through late August, early September and can take you to a regular site for this fantastic species.

These trips could also be ideal for photographers as the sun is pretty much out every day, perfect light to photograph colourful birds such as Bee-eaters, Shrikes and Rollers etc.

A day in the mountains is also a speciality, and again Cyprus has its very own endemic races of Coal Tit, Crossbill, Jay, Short-Toed Treecreeper and Wren so a day here should bring you all the mentioned species aswell as stunning scenery which alone is worth the trip.
