- Testimonials

On occasion we have some of our  customers send us their opinions about our products and customer service. Here are excerpts from some of their communications with us....

Extended Capacity Fuel Tank, Modified Indian Fenders: JoBear, Ft Lauderdale, FL: The guys at Cycle Art Engineering (CAE) are not only professional, but true craftsmen at what they do. I have never recieved better customer service, nor has anybody kept me so well updated on the status the entire way through the process. I can not explain how pleased I am with the finished product. The plus....the price never went up from quote to finished product. I will be a repeat customer!!!

Spring Saddle Kit from Randy L. (FRZB), Topeka KS: In my 20 plus years of riding, I have dealt with many manufacturers and custom builders of one off or specific parts for my bikes. I have had few experiences as professional and as satisfactory as I have had with C.A.E. The people, the customer service, and the quality of their products are second to none. From the day of my order, I was treated with outstanding courtesy. In addition, C.A.E. went above and beyond in ensuring me of the progress of my order. On arrival, my order WAS EXACTLY as promised and was ready to bolt on with no problems or adjustments necessary. The quality was exceptional! This was not a foreign made or preassembled "add on" for my motorcycle, but, rather a piece of ART! It complimented  and enhanced my bike! The quality and attention to detail shows from C.A.E. You can buy other manufactured products to "customize" your bike, but, if you want professional quality, fit, and years of satisfaction that will enhance and add a "truly original and special touch" to your bike, C.A.E and the fine people and their products are the way to go! With C.A.E products you will stand above the rest! I will be buying from C.A.E. in the future for my other customized bikes and HIGHLY recommend them for their products and services!

"Custom Paint" from Cameron L. Overland Park KS: Since purchasing my Drifter in 1999, I have made few customizations to the motorcycle. I purchased the bike due to my admiration of Indian Motocycles, and, my desire to be unique in a market overrun with look-alike cruisers. Each change that has been made to personalize the bike is the product of individuals that continue to practice their art on a small scale, with passion and pride for what they do. These individuals are rare, and, I reserve the word "craftsman" to denote the skills and perfection of their products. In 2000, I purchased a used set of stock Drifter wheels with the intent of painting them black, to match the blacked out components of the 1999 Drifter. I had the wheels for seven years before I found the craftsmen I believed had the vision to transform them into what I had envisioned. On a cold January day, I dropped off those wheels in St. Louis, Mo. Over the course of the next several months, I received updates regarding the progress of my project. Within each email, the intricate details of the on going process re-affirmed that I had chosen the right person to complete the task. This spring I picked up the wheels on a rainy Friday night. Its a good thing it was a weekend, because it took several days to get the smile from my face. No one should ever look that happy at work! The accompanying picture will give you a glimpse of the outcome....but, to really appreciate the heart and soul embedded in these wheels, you need to see them up close and personal, and the best way to do that would be to trust C.A.E. with your project. You will not be disappointed!!!

"Metal Art", from MAK, UK: I heard a lot of good stuff about C.A.E., but, being overseas in the UK, I hadn't had a chance for first hand experience of their products and quality. When I placed the order with C.A.E. for a set of one off custom tank badges, bearing my initials, for my Kustom Drifter, I was not quite sure of what to expect, but, hoped more or less for something along the lines as often read on the various Drifter forums. C.A.E. was very supportive and constructively critical in the final design of the badge, which strengthened my confidence. Furthermore, when the badges were finished, they were delivered well within the expected delivery time! Most importantly, the quality of the badges is outstanding, and even under close scrutiny of the finish and detail quality....I cannot find a blemish!!! I am more than happy to say that I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending C.A.E. for any motorcycle work anyone needs doing, and, I am already envisaging a set of badges for my other bikes. I am looking forward to discussing those details with C.A.E. soon!!!

"Metal Art", from Shawn Hart, Hart Custom Cycles, Altoona PA: I want you to know that your level of workmanship is excellent. The company logo medallion you did for me exceeded my expectations. I gave you an idea and you ran with it, and, came up with a unique and classy piece to put on my bike! Once I put the bike out in the sunlight the reflection just sparkles off of the chipped effect you did on the edges. I definitely plan on doing more business with you! Thanks!

Extended Capacity Fuel Tank, from John R. TX: My first reaction when I opened the shipping container was....WOW!!!! The tank looked like it had tripled in size!!!! C.A.E. Quality and Service: The craftsmanship was very professional. I was given periodic updates as the work progressed....I took advantage of C.A.E's Creative Financing Plan, and was allowed to pay in two installments. I couldn't be happier with C.A.E's product and service! I had the tank and fenders base coated, and then, being a comic book geek from way back, I did the Superman artwork to complete the design theme.....multiple coats of clear completed the paint job......and here are the final results!!! Thanks again!

Old Style Detachable Saddle Bag Kit from Brian R. NH: Great job on the kit...easy install, and looks great!!!!

Hard Mount Kit, from Jim V, NH/FL: I arrived back from my bike trip, and the package from C.A.E. was waiting for me. That was the last trip I'll take on that mediocre Kawasaki seat! My butt felt like a brick after 60 miles! The C.A.E. kit assembly and Heathers Leathers saddle went on that evening. 15 minutes of simple mounting, and behold...a practically brand new bike!!! Now this Drifter resembles what Kawasaki originally tried to achieve. You buy a Drifter because you want a retro-looking bike. I urge you to get with C.A.E. and finish up that vision. I opted for the hard mount saddle kit for future visions of this modification, but, I can easily imagine what C.A.E's spring saddle kit must feel like!!! C.A.E. did a professional grade job, and responds quickly with info. I like the fact that they require your dimensions, like height, weight, inseam length, and reach. You know then, that they are serious about their products! They also know reputable vendors of other quality products, which was very helpful. C.A.E. will provide future work for me, no doubt!!! Jim

Spring Saddle Kit, from "Drex", OH: Your spring Saddle Kit is amazing! It took no time to put it on. I am not extremely mechanically inclined, and had no trouble at all! I don't have the strongest back in the world, but, with your Spring Saddle Kit, I can ride all day....with no pain!!!  And, not to mention, that it is the coolest seat around, and really compliments the look I was trying to achieve. I would have to say, that "Olive", was a large part of my inspiration. Thanks for everything, including all the advice. Drex

Personalized Tank Badges, from Lance S., South Dakota: "Thank you for the superb tank emblems. They are great, and beyond expectations! From the conceptual design, to the finished product, C.A.E offered excellent communication, and the highest quality "one off" parts........service and quality that is a dying art in todays world! These badges will be on all my bikes for years to come! Thanks again for your work!

Spring Saddle Kit, from "The Ironman", NY: When the unit arrived, I was impressed by the weight of the carton. When I opened it up, I did not expect to find the quality, finish, and heft of your Spring Saddle Unit! To say that I was impressed is truly an understatement! On assembly, the unit went on as if it had eyes, as if it was hand made specifically for my bike! When I finally got her on the road, the ride quality was superb! While expectations often fall short of what we envision, I was in no way disappointed, and, even after almost 1000 miles, when I first plant my butt on that saddle, the "springiness" still puts a grin on my face!!! Congratulations on a great product. The craftsmanship and function are first rate. I would not hesitate to recommend your product to my friends, or to make another purchase of what I am sure are more fine accessories from your firm.

Spring Saddle Kit, Mike M., PA: This kit is truly amazing, looks incredible, and the craftsmanship of this Spring Saddle Kit is second to none! The welds are top notch, and the engineering of the kit cannot be touched by anyone! Took me about a half hour to install the kit, took it out for a ride, and was purposely riding over manhole covers and potholes, and, did not feel anything!!! Very stable going around turns, and does not wobble or feel insecure...very stable and just a joy to ride!

In a latter email received from Mike, he said: " This is the best money I have ever spent on a motorcycle part!

Spring Saddle Kit, "The Iceman", Mo: I am amazed at the difference your Spring Saddle Kit made, in my ability to remain comfortable on a day long ride! I had two disc's removed from my back, and even my "tour equipped" Road Star, allows me only a few hours in the saddle, before the pain becomes unbearable. I have put seven hours in the saddle, with your Spring Saddle Kit, on my Drifter, and my back is barely complaining! Thanks for producing such a great product!

Spring Saddle Kit, "The Dodger" Fl: When I opened the shipping container, the first thing that impressed me was the quality of the Spring Saddle Kit. The kit was made from heavy duty steel, with quality welds throughout! Total installation took about an hour. I have installed aftermarket parts from other well known suppliers, and have had to grind, drill, and bend just to get them to fit. Your Spring Saddle Kit lined up perfectly, and with a tap of the hand, was ready to bolt down! A few bolts later, it was ready to ride! This kit was obviously designed by folks who ride and work on their own bikes! Now, it was time for a test ride. I started out riding on some back country roads with nice twisties, jumped on the interstate for a while, got on some main roads, and even got lost, ending up on some nasty dirt back roads. It didn't make any difference, this set up is like riding on a cloud! All the little (or big) jars you get from a stock saddle are gone! Your Spring Saddle Kit absorbs shock like it wasn't even there, and works exactly as advertised! It is obvious that you are dedicated to high quality, and customer service. All in all, a great combination of good looks, and great workmanship!!!

Extended Capacity Fuel Tank, "Mr Lucky", NY: I received my Extended Capacity Fuel Tank today! All I can say is, WOW!!!! Thanks for the great job! I will send you some photos of the bike when it is done.

Fender Tip Kit: "Charlie", IN: I received the fender tips tuesday night. What beauty...sure wish I could do something like that. You can tell that the workmanship is excellent, and that somebody that takes great pride in their work made them. Thanks again!

Detachable Saddle Bag Kit: "Red", Pa: Just wanted you to know that the mounting plates, and the Detachable Saddle Bag Kit, work very well, and went on beautifully. Thanks!

"Hard Mount"Saddle Kit: "Doc" Love, OK: By moving my "seating attitude"to a more ergonomically correct position, your "Hard Mount" kit, has relieved the stiffness and pain, that the original seating position caused in my hip joints. The saddle now is mounted in a more "traditionally correct" position, and really adds to the authentic "retro" style of the bike! Over the last 55 years or so, I have bought a lot of "goodies" for my bikes, but, never, I repeat "never"!!!!!, have I purchased anything with the "quality and engineering" as the mounting system for my Chum-me saddle. I must congratulate you and Bro on the "excellence" of your products. I knew from seeing "Olive" so many times, that the excellence was there, but, didn't realize until after I purchased a product of yours, how "really excellent" it was. Very Best Regards. Doc
