UPDATES
October 28, 2008 -- College is going to keep me from my writing for a while, so I'm going to be on hiatus from CH2 and working on the site at least until Thanksgiving break. However, I plan to use NaNoWriMo (or just November for those who don't know what I'm talking about) as a time to not write a new story, but rather add at least that many words to CH2. My goal is to finish it by the end of my winter break, which means it'll be done in January. Here's hoping I'm able to do it! In the meantime, as soon as I have some free time I'm going to upload Monarchy of Organs (for reals this time!) Meanwhile, if anyone's interested, I'm one of the forum members who has a "cameo" in Emergency Exit as a soldier who gets his butt handed to him by the bad guys (I got killed by Jurinjo, my favorite character). August 1, 2008 -- I know, I haven't done anything. It's been a while. I finally deleted the listing for Access Denied from the stories page, though, so that's good. I promise, tomorrow or in the near future I'll upload Carrie's Tale and what exists of Monarchy of Organs. I've also done a bit of work on the first arrangement that takes place after CH2, the one that involved Emergency Exit. It will be titled "Alarm Will Sound" and have cover artwork featuring pictures of Gryff and Eddie (a character in EE) by EE creator NJ Huff herself! It's really awesome, and I can't wait to show it to you, but I need the story first, and I need CH2 before that.
June 28, 2008 -- I've been working a lot lately, which prevents me from getting much work done on the story. However, I've got some extremely awesome news to share. The conclusion of Cyber Heroez 2 will set up not only another set of arrangements, but also a spin-off of sorts, written by Denny. I don't want to give away too many details, but I will say that Cyboy will barely be involved in it. It's sort of like a Torchwood to my Doctor Who. And that's a very fitting analogy. Anyway, I'm off to actually work on the story now (hooray!)
June 9, 2008 -- Woot! I've got some major work done on Cyber Heroez 2. I converted everything I'd written so far for CH2 to be a year later than it originally was (see April 30 update), and now I'm working on bringing Gryff to college, which happens to work well where I am in the story (everything before where I am now took place during the summer). But it will certainly be a while; CH2 is going to be long.
May 13, 2008 -- It's finals week, so still nothing new written or put up, but new ideas that will be implemented. First, I came up with Suchi's name because it sounded suitable and Japanese, only later learning through some weird coincidence that it happens to be very close to the Japanese word for "dirt" or "earth", which I think is rather appropriate. However, since I am taking Japanese in college, I now know that the actual word for dirt or earth is "Tsuchi", so I will be rectonning the character's name to that. Also, although I'm still probably not going to write Access Denied, I have decided that the set of Arrangements that takes place after CH2 will bring Gryff to worlds outside of the video game realm. The first Arrangement in that set will feature the worlds and characters of the webcomic "Emergency Exit", which I recommend you all check out. I already have permission from EE creator NJ Huff to use his characters in a semi-fan-fiction setting, so I'll actually be using someone else's characters WITH permission for a change! Yay! Expect more substantial updates when summer vacation starts.
April 30, 2008 -- It's been a long time since I've done anything with Cyber Heroez, mostly because of college, but I'm coming back. I recently started up work again on Cyber Heroez 2, found Carrie's Tale, and talked to Keith about Monarchy of Organs. For now, it looks like I'll probably just post my part of Monarchy, since Keith has more or less given up on his part. I'm working on getting what he has so far from him, but the most important things are in my part anyway. I've also decided that Access Denied was a bad idea and I'm getting rid of it, at least for now. After I finish CH2, I want to get back to The Centaur, so having a new arrangement to work on would be detrimental to that. However, I was going to use Access Denied to bring Gryff to college, so instead, I've decided that Cyber Heroez 2 will take place during Gryff's first year of college. It makes sense to me. I still plan to introduce the character Alexander Thaser (like the others, he's based on a real friend of mine), but not Evan or Mike. Sorry, guys. Because this story will take place when Gryff is in college, it will focus less on the friends you already know and more on Gryff's new friends who are based on my friends from college, primarily (and these are the character last names, not the real ones) Denny Rosen and Hanna Norris.
