Welcome to the Central Western Performance Horse & Appaloosa Club Inc! We are an ALL BREEDS club located in Dubbo NSW, affiliated with the Australian Appaloosa Association.
The club aims to hold regular monthly shows, sometimes 2 shows in one weekend - "back to back" shows, with the advantage of the use of the indoor arena at the Dubbo Showgrounds. Stabling and camping is available for those that travel. Halter classes are provided for Appaloosa, Quarter Horse, Paint Horse, Paint Bred, Miniature, Small Horse and other breeds. Performance events range from Showmanship, Hacking, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure, Trail, Western Riding, Reining etc. There are divisions for those starting out (walk & trot only) to advanced competitors. Even if you are not ready to show yet, come along to one of the shows to watch and meet members with the same interests.
2009 - 2010 seasons will be underway soon - a new show program as well as information on clinics and a Trivia Night can be found on the Events & Activities page.
Each show has it's own High Point Awards for various divisions and there is an overall High Point system that is held annually, with great prizes.
As well as shows, the club from time to time holds clinics and fun days - for beginner level right through to advanced seasoned competitors.
Our monthly general meetings are the first Wednesday of each month at the Dubbo Railway Bowling Club, anyone who is interested in the club can come along to these meetings.
