Being a photographer wasn't always what I wanted to be when I grew up. It just sort of fell into my lap. I had always loved photography. Well, when my son was born, I couldn't put the camera down. I spent just as much money on film and developing as I did in diapers and formula. Then, baby #2 came along, my daughter. She was so sweet and of course, you can't skimp on the photos of the second child. So, camera in hand almost every day of her first year of life! At that time I left all the really important milestone shots to the professionals, until one day, I had the studio experience from HECK!! I was so upset when I saw the finished product that I didn't even purchase any portraits. I went to a park with my kids and started taking candid shots of them playing together and climbing on rocks. I showed them to all my friends and one very good friend told me that I NEEDED to take photography classes! Well, at the time, I was pregnant with baby #3. Shortly after her birth (the hospital had lost the negative for her first baby portrait), this post-partum depressed mom took the initiative and signed up for Photography classes at the local community college. I vowed never again to miss any important "firsts" in my daughter's life. Needless to say, I fell in love when I saw my first black and white photo develop from the chemicals in the dark room. I KNEW this was my calling. (Just thinking about that brings tears to my eyes.) So, I continued my photography studies one class at a time (it's hard to take more when you're a mom of 3), even through pregnancy #4, and finally graduated from the program 4 years later!
I started Christine Webb Photography in hopes that I could bring a unique and wonderful experience to other moms who want to capture their child's special milestones. My residentially based studio creates a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. There's no need to worry about crowded malls, lost kids and pushy sales people. I have vowed to give my clients a wonderful portrait experience that they can tell their friends and family about.
