Basic Requirement to the rank of Lance Corporal

LCP Rank

1. Basic Requirement

One of the following Proficiency Badges must be obtained:

  • Safety First Badge
  • Campcraft Badge
  • Drill Badge Third Class
2. Promotion Test

I Footdrill

  • Attention
  • Stand at Ease
  • Stand Easy
  • Forming up in 3 ranks
  • Turning at the halt, left, right etc
  • Dismissing and falling out
  • Paces to the front and rear
  • Right and left close march
  • II Campcraft

  • Knots reef knot
  • Sheet-bend
  • Sheepshank
  • Clove hitch
  • Thumb knot
  • Tent guy loop
  • Fisherman?s knot
  • Whipping
  • Timber hitch
  • III Attendance

     

    Basic Requirement to the rank of Corporal

    CPL Rank

    1.Basic Requirement

    Two of the following Proficiency Badges must be obtained:

    • Safety First Badge
    • Campcraft Badge
    • Drill Badge
    • Crime Prevention
    2. Promotion Test

    I. Footdrill

  • Dressing and sizing
  • Open and closed order
  • Marching and halting in quick time
  • Saluting at halt
  • Saluting to the front on the march
  • Saluting when without head dress
  • Eyes right and left and front
  • Wheeling
  • Marking time, forward and halt at quick time
  • Change step in quick time
  • About turn on the march (quick time)
  • Slow March and halt
  • Marking time, forward and halt at slow time
  • Changing step in slow time
  • Marching at advance and retire position
  • Turning to the left and right on the march
  • II. Baton Drill

  • Attention
  • Stand at ease
  • Stand easy
  • Baton Salute
  • III. Words of Commands for Footdrill

    Basic Requirement to the rank of Sergeant

    SGT Rank

    1. Basic Requirement

    Three of the following Proficiency Badges must be obtained:

    • Safety First Badge
    • Campcraft Badge
    • Drill Badge
    • Crime Prevention
    • Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
    • Civil Defence
    2. Promotion Test

    I. Footdrill

  • Form 2 ranks from 3 ranks & vice versa
  • About turn at the slow march
  • Form Squad (Static)
  • Form Squad (on the march)
  • Change Direction ? Tukar Haluan
  • II. Arms Drill

  • Shoulder arms - Rusok senjata
  • Dressing at open and close order
  • Ground - Baring
  • Take up arms - Angkat
  • Saluting with rifle at the halt on the march
  • Present arms - Hormat senjata
  • Shoulder from order and vice versa - Rusok
  • Marching at the shoulder - Sending senjata
  • III. Words of Commands for Armsdrill Movement

    IV. First Aid

  • Attention to cuts and wounds
  • Bites and stings
  • Burns and scalds
  • Treatment for shock.
  • V. Attendance

     

    Basic Requirement to the rank of Staff-Sergeant

    SSGT Rank

    1. Basic Requirement

    All of the following Proficiency Badges must be obtained:

    • Safety First Badge
    • Campcraft Badge
    • Drill Badge

    And one of the following Proficiency Badges must also be obtained:

    • Crime Prevention
    • Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
    • Civil Defence
    • Adventure Training
    • Anti-Drug Abuse
    2. Promotion Test

    I. Leadership

  • Ability to command and instruct a squad in any of the foot/arms/baton drills movements.
  • II. Efficiency

  • Ability to carry out duties assigned swiftly and accurately.
  • III. Dry Practice

  • Ability to conduct dry practices for revolver and air rifle.
  • IV. First Aid

  • Methods of resuscitation
  • Splints and bandages
  • Means of conveyance of wounded.
  • V. Attendance

     

    Basic Requirement to the rank of Station Inspector

    SI Rank

    1. Basic Requirement

    All of the following Proficiency Badges must be obtained:

    • Safety First Badge
    • Campcraft Badge
    • Drill Badge

    And two of the following Proficiency Badges must also be obtained:

    • Crime Prevention
    • Neighbourhood Watch Scheme
    • Civil Defence
    • Adventure Training
    • Anti-Drug Abuse
    2. Promotion Test

    I. Leadership

    The Assistant Commandant and two other officers-in-charge.
