Message from the Tom King, Tournament Director

Thanks to everyone that made this weekend such a big success.

Thanks to Vanessa Lyon and Sandra Hansen, without you two, this tournament would not have happened. Thanks to Dan Bert for being Dan Bert. Thanks to Rod Arnold, RPA, you were a work horse for me, and thanks for your patience. Thanks to Mike Desilets, the minister of partying showed everyone a good time at Minglewoods on Saturday night. Thanks to Bryce Ring, without your truck we'd still be moving stuff from UPI to SOD. Thanks to Chris Castonguay, my money man, his job is only half done, and thanks for everything else you did this weekend for Bro. Thanks to Brian Kells, he took care of billets for us. Thanks to Peter Roebuck, VC was there because of him. Thanks to VC, you were a big help this weekend and it was a pleasure to deal with you, if I ever run anything again, you will be the first I approach. Thanks to Erin Pleet, EP, who got our first aid CUSERT there to handle all separated shoulders, sprained/broken ankles, and even a few concussions. Thanks to all of our athletic therapists and students that helped in that department as well. Thanks to the weather gods for only allowing a few showers during the days and only one night of rain. Although it was pretty windy at times and always cold it's the best weather we've had in the three years I’ve been going to CUUC. The fact that it happened is a success in itself. Thanks to Carleton for all your help and support. And thanks to Al Colantonio, you were a work horse this weekend, thanks for making me laugh and thanks for lugging the water around.

VERY BIG thanks to OCUA. Nick you were great all week leading up to the event. I am so thankful for your help especially when things looked like they might not happen at all.

Thanks to the Powells for you words of encouragement, without Chris in my mind and heart throughout this process, the tournament probably wouldn't have happened.

Thanks to all the teams that came, not only to play but to get to know the university ultimate community as well.

Congratulations to everyone on a well played and hard fought tournament.

Congratulations Ottawa U Womens, thanks for bringing a crown to Ottawa, I am glad you ladies could win at home.
Congratulations to U of T Open, torontula. Some of you just won your second national championship of the year, thats an amazing feat worth acknowledging.

Thanks to all the captains for being patient with me and CUPA, and thanks for not killing us when the schedule and seedings were finally released. Special thanks goes to U of Sask. for your patience. I guaranteed you a cross over, and even though you didn’t win it, you played hard and this will be reflected hopefully in next year's seedings.

Sorry to Ottawa U open, you didn’t have the most successful weekend, but thanks for all your help in the little things like being line judges for the finals and helping with clean up and set up in the AM's, same to your ladies. And thanks for letting me crash your team dinner.

This weekend was amazing. There will be a lengthy article in the Charlaton this week, I will post the web link here as well.

Thanks to all those that I may have missed.

I finally have time to do some school work!! yeah!!!
