COACHING COURSES

FREE LEVEL 1 COACHING

If clubs have got any 16-25 years olds (who must be BRAND NEW to volunteering) living in Allerdale, Barrow, Carlisle, Copeland and parts of Eden (not South Lakes), or associated with a club in one of those locations, who want to go on the UKCC1 or a Young Sports Leader course then they can now apply for funding for the full cost of their course through The Cumbria Youth Alliance.

The course must be completed before 15th April 2010, and the person MUST then do some volunteering after attending it. Also, the person concerned will need to have an identified senior person from their club to act as their mentor. The mentor & the candidate then have to fill in a simple questionnaire after the volunteering has been done.

Please contact Julie Gibson (016973 22131) for details

THAT'S IT FOR THIS YEAR !!

After the washout in August it was lovely to finish the season with far better weather this weekend which allowed us to complete three more finals. My thanks to all the grounds who staged, or offered to stage finals and to coaches, parents and players alike for their patience as we tried to beat the weather. I will update the website with all results shortly and will hopefully see you all in 2010. Don't forget the winter coaching courses above.
Nigel Clubley, League Secretary (Sept 13th, 2009)
