Cumbria Harness Club

Hello, Im George the chairman, of this club.

We are a group of equine enthusiasts dedicated to driving. The club is currently in its 30th year. We have regular drives out on a Sunday which is as much a social event as an opportunity to both excercise our horses and exchange ideas and tips.

Our members cover all age groups, from those who enjoy just a pleasant drive out, to those who thrive on the excitment of competing in both local, national and international events. So we like to think we are a diverse club with all levels of competence who are willing to both teach others and learn from one another.

We have a yearly camp and show, where we meet for a weekend of driving, fun and "the crack" and we also occasionally have speakers who attend our monthly meetings to keep us up to date on both current legislation and regulations pertaining to driving and horse/stable management.

All our members receive an update in the form of a monthly newsletter. We also have this website which we welcome both members and non-members alike to browse.
