***News Flash!!! Chewy had his very first show at Portadown Championship Show 17/10/2009, and was awarded GREEN STAR DOG!!!***

Cumbreck is a Kennel Club registered prefix.
We have had Miniature Schnauzers since 1990 & find them to be very good companion dogs & a dog i'd recommend for any first time dog owner.
They are similar in stature to a terrier but thats where the comparison ends! They are not fiery & do not have the terrier spirit so are much more readily controlled.
Miniature Schnauzers not only look beautiful they excel at agility & many people are taking up 'mini agility' with their Miniature Schnauzers, it dosen't matter what colour the dog is to partake in this or obedience.
As of 2007 non of our Mini puppies will be docked.
Not all dogs are born show dogs & Miniature Schnauzers coats take a lot of time & effort to get the coats exactly right for show.
We endevour to breed a dog that does not have the abundant american style coat but more of a european style coat in that its harsh & less soft thus much easier to manage as it does not tangle so easily, this is the coat we want on our dogs, our dogs are dogs who like to have fun & run through the woods & into the sea to swim, they are not locked away all day in a kennel show dogs! ours get dirty & have a life & can run with the best of our terriers all day long. They are quite rightly PETS!
We breed very few Mini Schnauzers as we only breed to retain a one for ourselves bred from our own dogs or dogs carefully selected for temprement first & foremost because we know each dogs background & health.

Here you will find links to our very small select few Miniature Schnauzers who are all family pets, we only have 2 old males & 2 females & the older girls have now all been retired & live in beautiful homes as single dogs being spoilt rotten.

We are aiming to breed black/white pieds (parti colours). I love the colour its not a breed standard colour but are registerable with all KC's but they cannot be shown due to not being a standard colour. They are though very striking looking dogs & have the same wonderful nature. I have been made aware the Jannem line has produced pied puppies before so i am hoping we may be able to reproduce it to some extent.

I have also included some links to worldwide Schnauzer breeders & some general information on the breed.
I do hope you enjoy your visit!
