The victory gives the actress, clothing designer and winner of 10 Grand Slams a bit of time to get back to the TV script treatment she has in the works. Venus and sister Serena Williams, for the second time in two tries, won the 2008 Olympics doubles gold, beating a team from Spain at the Olympic tennis complex. They did the same thing eight years ago in Sydney. Serena Wiilliams, the No.1 ranking  U.S. player, is at postion No. 1 internationally.

Beaming while hugging her sister Serena, Venus said, "I really tried to win, but losing to Serena - it's cool." Venus took home $275,000 of the $1.2 million purse. Serena took $400,000. Venus, the No. 3-seeded seven-time Grand Slam champion, has won for the past two years at Wimbledon. But she lost a bid for the 2009 Wimbledon championship to her sister Serena Williams.
