Webelos Working on God and Family Award
Special thanks goes out to Pastor Dan Lyons who is taking time out of his busy schedule to work with our webelos I & II on their God and Family awards. These awards will be completed sometime around February and will be presented to the boys at a special service at the church.
Webelos to Meet at Church This Year
Hey guys!! Its hard to believe that another year is upon us. The webelos of Pack 202 make up the majority of the pack and we are so proud of both 1st and 2nd year webelos.
Totaling 28 before round ups, we have decided to have this large group meet at the First United Methodist Church on Tuesday nights to accomodate the large number. From time to time, depending on what activity badge we are working on at the time, our location for meeting will change. Also, we are working closely with the Boy Scout Troop to have one night a month that the Webelos IIs will meet with the troop on Mondays.
Webelos still will have fun, but its time for the leadership skills to begin to kick in for these young men. The activities will be centered around the activity pins instead of the theme for the month and the long term goal for this group is to make it to the Arrow of Light, Cub Scout's highest honor.
Leadership for Webelos I will be Mrs. Susan Caldwell, aided by David & Sandy Creech, Rita & Peter Gravely and Tammy Severt
Webeleos II will be led by Tammy & Paul Severt, Audrey Colvin and help from Alan Keller from troop 202 when needed.
We look forward to watching these young men complete their cub scout trail and embark down the path to Eagle.
