Cub Scout Pack 202

GRADUATION ON THE MOUNTAIN POSTPONED

Hey guys! Due to so many of the pack being on vacation, we are postponing the graduation ceremony at Methodist Park on July 11th.  We would rather have the majority of the boys attending this special ceremony, so we will do it after school is back in session.

Hope everyone is having a great summer.  Please check the updated calendar for dates and activities.

Have a great Summer!!!

Pack 202 Has A Great Time on Spring Break Trip

Our 2009 Spring break trip is in the history books, and boy did we have fun!! Our group toured the Lost Sea and took a boat ride on  a 100 ft deep lake one mile under the ground!  We traveled to Rock City where we saw 7 states from the top of Lookout Mountain. We toured the downtown area of Chattanooga and took a ride in the Tennessee River aboard a restored WWII amphibious unit called a DUKW ( or DUCK).  We saw fish from all over the world at the #2 rated aquarium in the country- they even had penguins and something we all had never seen- A Leafy Seadragon ( maybe there really is a Loc Ness Monster!!).  We toured Pointe Park where the Battle of Chattanooga took place during the Civil War.  We blasted off to the moon at Space Camp and toured the US Rocket Park where we  climbed the wall, spun in the G force simulator and took off on Space Shot-  way to go Pastor Dan!  We took the Incline to the top of Lookout Mountain and made it safely back down. We even got to see a replica of a Civil War field hospital at the Chickamauga National Park Battlefield- site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War!  We come home with many great memories, lots of mashed pennies and very tired scouts.  Where will we go next year?  The sky's the limit!!  We will begin planning next year's trip soon, so get to selling those scout tickets and popcorn.  It was a great trip with a great bunch of people. Thanks to everyone who came along, especially to our drivers- Pastor Dan, Jason Teffeteller and Paul Severt!!  Safe trip and loads of fun! Check out some more photos in the photo gallery.  If anyone would like to contribute photos for the website please get them to Tammy.
