Her Hands

A Poem Dedicated to My Wife in 2002

"With Her Hands"

Prov 31:13

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

The hands of my wife
are wrinkled and curled,

From long years of busy detail.

They are painful all the time, I know.

But they have been Touched

By the Master's I know,

from a time so very long ago.

They are continual servants
to our Master and Lord

Ever since that glorious day

When she made the Master,
you see, her Lord!

One day, I pray,
my son's will see
 "their" wife's hands
so pretty as these!

They will remember
their mom's hands
set an example to see

So great that they never forgot
(when it came time to choose)

Some "other-than-mother’s" hands they would see

And would realize that only God can make hands so beautiful as these.

Hubby of Christine E. Lanyon

The Hands of Christine Wise Lanyon

Christine developed Arthritis several years ago and without painful use of them their use at all would have ceased because of the pain.
