
Cathy Smith Batchelor, M.A., CCC-SLP is the Director of Batchelor Communication Services. Her special interests include communcation skills in autism, the reduction of foreign and regional accents, the improvement of communication skills in corporate, healthcare and educational settings, voice disorders, dysphagia management, and fluency disorders. Ms. Batchelor received her graduate degree in
Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland. She has completed training from the Institute of Language & Phonology in using the Compton P-ESL Program for accent modification, and is certified to teach the PhonoGraphix reading program. Ms. Batchelor holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is a member of the Speech-Language-Hearing Association of Virginia (SHAV), the Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSLHA), and the Corporate Speech Pathology Network (CORSPAN).
