1. First open up Photoshop. Start off with a white background, any sized. I'm using 200x200 for this tutorial.

2. Then open the brush palette. Like this: . If you can't find it click on the brush button, near the top right corner there should be a button that looks like this, click on that and the brush palette should open up. |
3. Now click on the 'Texture'. Once you click it and it should look like this: . Click to open the palette picker and choose the patter that I picked. Use the settings in the screenshot. |
4. Next click on the 'Dual Brush'. Once you click on that and it should look like this: . Use the settings in the screenshot. |
5. Now click on the 'Other Dynamics'. Once you click on that and it should look like this: . Use the settings in the screenshot. |
6. Go to the window you opened earlier. Using the brush you have just edited. Brush on the empty white background with black. Like this: . |
7. Now go to Edit >> Define Brush Preset... A window should open, name the brush. I called mines, Grunge Brush. Then click OK. Like this: . |
| 8. Then Select the brush you have just made. And use it for anything you want. |
