Cabarrus Rowan Stallions Spring Sports

The 2008 Stallions Varsity Baseball Team finished 5th in the HWSA National Tournament (visit www.hwsa.net for details).  After qualifying at the regionals at the East Cobb Complex in Marietta, GA, the team traveled to Pensacola Junior College for the Homeschool Nationals.  Winning three of five games placed the Stallions with a 5th place finish.   We are thankful to the Lord for allowing us travel safety, giving us new friendships, strengthening our team unity, and the opportunity to participate at a very high level of high school baseball.

With the 2009 season quickly approaching the varsity team is looking forward to a very strong regular season schedule, which includes 13 games with public school competition, as well as games against some of the best homeschool teams in the nation.  In addition to once again participating in the national tournament, NCHE has added a state tournament this season, which is to be held at Intimidator's Stadium in Kannapolis.   The Middle School Baseball Team is making plans for another successful season.  This team continues to be a very competitive and winning program.  Ken Threadgill is to be the new coach this coming season.   The 2009 schedule includes another season of good competition including public and private schools.

The baseball organizational meeting for the 2009 season is set for Saturday, January 17, at Troutman's BBQ, 1388 Warren C. Coleman Blvd. S., Concord, NC 28025 at 9:30 am.  We plan to discuss cost, goals, requirements, practice time and locations, etc. at this meeting.  We look forward to seeing all interested baseball players, 6th - 12th grades, at this meeting.
