Crossroads Recalled

The Drama of a Soap Opera

Crossroads is a British television phenomenon.  Regularly commanding audiences of over 15 million in its heyday, it was much loved by the public but mocked by the critics.

As a teenager in the mid-1970s I remember sitting down to watch at 6:30, and scribbling notes on each episode. SeeCrossroads Retold for my version of the storylines from mid-1974 until 1985.  I stopped watching when my favourite character David Hunter (played by Ronald Allen) was axed together with his on-screen wife and off-screen partner Sue Lloyd.  However, the original show continued until 1988 when, after 4,510 episodes, the Crossroads Motel closed its doors.

This website brings together information about Crossroads that I have collected over the years, including newspaper articles, books and magazines. The Crossroads Appreciation Society  website contains all you could ever wish to know about Crossroads and is undoubtedly the most comprehensive resource on the web.

I hope you enjoy this site.  If you have any comments please email me at jean9@localdial.com.
