Jane Gurnett

A well established actress, Jane has appeared in numerous film and television drama's. Her first big role was back in 1987 in the television mini-series Napoleon and Josephine made for a USA TV network.

In the UK she found fame as Staff Nurse Rachel Longworth in drama series Casualty, later moving on to Dangerfield, another BBC drama. Jane played Kate Russell in Crossroads from March 2001 to May 2003.

Jane Rossington

Jane's first television role was as nurse Kate Ford in ATV's 1950s hospital soap, Emergency Ward Ten. In 1964 Jane checked into the Crossroads Motel as Jill Richardson and stayed there 24 years.

More recently she played 'Cousin Jill' in Channel 4 soap Brookside, which it was indirectly suggested it was Jill Richardson, all be it her full name was never revealed but she did make her money in hotels. In 2001 Jane returned as the 'real' Jill in Crossroads.

Kathy Staff

Since 1962 Kathy has been gracing the television screens of the UK. With many film and television credits to her name she really has become a British institution. Although many will forever remember Kathy as Nora Batty in the BBC sitcom Last Of The Summer Wine, she's also appeared in practically every ITV soap there has ever been!

In 1973 just as she started Summer Wine, she appeared in Coronation Street as Vera Hopkins, then Emmerdale Farm beconned, followed by Crossroads Motel from 1978 to 1985. After leaving Summer Wine in 2001, she returned to the Crossroads Hotel as the popular Doris Luke.

Tony Adams

Played the 'nice guy' Neville Bywaters in ATV soap General Hospital before joining the original Crossroads Motel in 1978. Other television roles have varied from sitcom The Upper Hand to detective drama in Bergerac.

In the late 1990s he appeared in ITV's comedy, The Grimley's. Dr Who fan's will remember Tony as Elgin from a 1973 edition. It was however as Adam Chance in Crossroads from 2001 through to 2002 that we will rememebr him.

Sherrie Hewson

She first found fame in the Carry On Laughing television comedy series in 1975, where she first played the role of a character called Virginia in the series. Many comedy roles followed from co-starring with Russ Abbot on his television sketch shows to the sitcom Barbara. From 1993 Sherrie starred as the down trodden Maureen Naylor in Coronation Street finally leaving the soap in 1997.

From March 2001 to May 2003 she was sharp-tongued receptionist Virgina Raven at Crossroads.Sherrie also found time to co-present Granada TV's Loose Women talk-show and has more recently become a member of the cast of Yorkshire Television's soap, Emmerdale.

Roger Sloman

Another actor with a long career in television drama. First appeared on our screens in a episode of the classic Thames TV police series, The Sweeny and has had many more appearances since.

From comedy shows including Blackadder to children's drama Grange Hill and other soaps such as Family Affairs, Roger has been appearing on screen since 1975. He was recently listed in the top 100 greatest TV characters for his role as Keith Pratt in a 1976 BBC Play For Today programme called, Nuts in May.
