Omani international Albusaidi debuted for Cronies in a pre-season friendly in their first Soccer Sixes season. Although not offered a contract by Cronies he signed for Saudi Arabia and impressed later on in the season which prompted manager Matt Webb to sign him on a pre-contract agreement ahead of the following season in which Cronies were playing in Division 1. Although he was approached by Cronies to play for them in the Clifton Hill Saturday league he could not play as he already played for Zaeem in the same league. Albusaidi's debut was delayed due to his extended holiday to his homeland which meant he missed the start of the season. He finally played for Cronies and scored alot of valuable goals in the latter stage of the season which sealed the title for the team. At the start of October 2008 he also started playing for the Sunday Night Clifton Hill team, where his clinical finishing and silky skills has impressed both team-mates, opposition and fans alike.
