Christian's new CD, El Indomable, was released on June 26 in the United States in three different formats: disc only, disc + DVD, and digital CD. His first single, "Tu Retirada," from his ranchera disc debuted at the #1 position based on online sales. The disc was directed by the Mexican singer Vicente Fernandez and produced by Pedro Ramirez.

Christian and his wife, Valeria, announced earlier in the week that they are expecting a son. They already have a daughter, Simone, who is almost two years old.

Cristian's music video for his first single, "Te Buscaria," began filming today in Buenos Aires. According to Cristian's record label, "the video has several Argentine actors who travel the city as they narrate the history of the song. The actors were pre-selected in an exhaustive casting call."

Cristian took pictures for his new CD, Hoy Quiero So?ar, on October 5 in Central Studio located on Costa Rica Street in Palermo Holyboob. He arrived at the studio at 1:15 pm and left at 5:30 pm. He was photographed by Roca cherniasqui.

In an interview with People magazine, Veronica Castro broke her silence, asserting that she is unhappy with Cristian's marriage, that he is not ready to be a father, and that she is not ready to be a grandmother. When asked to comment on the marriage, Veronica stated, "I am not happy but it's his life and he could do as he wishes with it."

There are rumors that Cristian's wife, Valeria, is pregnant just two months after their marriage. During a promotional tour for his new CD in Argentina, Cristian stated, "I plan to give them a big surprise because this is a very happy event, for my family and for Mexico, to have a baby." If this is true, the baby is expected around mid-2005.

Cristian will remain in Buenos Aires for a month working on his new album, tenatively named "Atrevete." In addition to filming a music video, he will also take pictures for the album and put the finishing touches on the songs.

Cristian is currently in South America promoting his new disc, which will include two songs written by Cristian, named "Vamos a Bailar" and "Te Buscaria," and a couple of songs with a mariachi flavor. His first single is scheduled to be released on October 10 and the album will hit stores on Novermber 5. In an interview, he said, "This is the first time that I played guitars in a disc that will contain several mariachi-like songs." This is Cristian's third cd that has been produced by Kike Santander.

Today, Cristian Castro put his luxurious apartment in Miami on sale for $3.5 million. The apartment, located in the wealthy Brickell district, has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and designed in a contemporary modern style, was purchased in 2001 for $3 million by the singer. The penthouse was built in 1997 and has a breathtaking view of the beach with two balconies, private entry, and two parking spaces. Cristian lived in this apartment for three years - two as a bachelor and one married to Gabriela Bo.

Cristian Castro has begun recording his new album in Kike Santander's studio in Miami, Florida. In an interview, Santander, who is currently producing the albums of both Cristian Castro and Alejandro Fernandez, stated, "We are starting pre-production on his new CD. The concept follows the traditional pop style, reminiscent of Cristian's previous hits such as 'Azul' and 'Mi Vida Sin Tu Amor.' They are sounds that his fans are accustomed to hearing." The producer assured that Cristian will record his songs from Thursday to Saturday. Santander hopes to release the disc as early as October.

Veronica Castro will have to undergo back surgery after being on the brink of falling from an elephant during the live broadcast of Big Brother VIP on July 4, assured her mother, Socorro Castro. However, the surgery will take place in a few months because Veronica already has prior engagements and does not have time to rest. As Cristian asserted, Veronica is in Europe, receiving treatment from various health specialists. Although the surgery will have to wait, Socorro said that Veronica feels well and is optimistic things will go well. "I talked to her and the truth is that she is faring well, she is being cared for, she sounds calm, because she already took her X-rays and tests, and is following doctor's orders."

Cristian's grandmother, when asked about Veronica's absence from her son's wedding, said, "It was a special moment but since things happened so quickly, she already had plans that she could not cancel. She is not mad - in fact, she is happy. What mother would not be happy seeing her son content?" Socorro added that she hopes to become a great-grandmother in the near future.

Last night, Cristian and Valeria held an interview with Susana Gimenez. Valeria wore a white spring dress decorated with flowers with cream-colored shorts, while Cristian was dressed in a dark blue suit with white shirt and matching tie. At the start of the interview, Cristian wanted to "clarify to the people of Argentina that Valeria has not changed, and I am thankful that I have this opportunity with her." After his divorce from Gabriela Bo, Cristian said, "I was suffering, having a rough time, and thinking how I could reunite with Valeria. I yearned to meet her, so I went to East Point, where I knew her family vacationed during the summer. I found her brothers and told them what was happening, that I needed to ask for Valeria's forgiveness for leaving her, and that I still loved her and God wanted us to be together. But they answered that Valeria was engaged. Hearing that was terrible." Valeria intervened, stating, "When I broke up with Cristian, my brothers were hurt. So they wanted to protect me and made up that I was engaged. Furthermore, they never told me that Cristian was looking for me." Susana then asked Cristian what he did next and he responded, "I continued fighting to reach my destiny and to fix the error I made by leaving Valeria; in those moments, I realized that she was the love of my life. Since I couldn't meet her personally, I asked a friend who knew her brothers to give me Valeria's e-mail address. Then, I sent her a message, asking her, 'When do you get married?' She responded, ' Who are you?' " Cristian wanted to keep his identity hidden because he did not want to bother her if she was already engaged, but in reality, he wanted to snatch Valeria away from her 'fiancee.' "We decided to have a 'super secret' meeting and everything went well." After their initial meeting, things progressed quickly and they decided to get married (for real this time). Valeria commented, "I suffered many years after our separation, and reuniting with Cristian was the best thing that has happened in my life. I feel like the happiest woman in the world." When asked where they will establish their residency, Valeria answered, "here, in Miami, in a house that we just bought and will move into shortly." Cristian hopes to have kids in the near future, and Valeria intends to accompany her husband on all his tours because "we miss each other too much when we aren't together."

On a side note, Cristian had to convert to Judaism in order to validate his marriage with Valeria. The couple was blessed by a rabi, a spiritual representative of the Jewish community in Florida, on Saturday night.

After their three-day stay at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Miami, Cristian and Valeria prepared to go to Istanbul, Turkey to celebrate their honeymoon (not to Paris, as previously reported), but will not do so until the end of the month because Cristian is working on his new album. There are more updates regarding the wedding and the reception. Cristian was seen crying during the wedding, perhaps overjoyed with his new wife and future. All the guests had to pass through metal detectors to ensure that they did not bring cameras into the hotel or the ballroom. At the reception, Cristian sang two ranchero songs dedicated to his wife, accompanied by the Mexico International Mariachi. Rudy Perez performed "Contigo en la Distancia" and Kike Santander, the wedding's padrino, sang the ranchero bolero, "Si Nos Dejan." The couple retired at 2:00 AM.

There are rumors circulating that Veronica Castro and Cristian's brother, Michel, did not attend the wedding because they do not approve of the singer's hasty decision to remarry just 18 days after divorcing Gabriel Bo. However, Cristian laid these rumors to rest, stating that Veronica was receiving treatment for spinal problems she suffered at the taping of the season finale of the popular Mexican reality show, Big Brother VIP.

Cristian Castro and Valeria Liberman exchanged wedding vows and their "I do's" yesterday evening in front of about 50 invited guests in Miami at their Jewish wedding, in accordance with Valeria's Jewish background. In front of the international press, Cristian said that it was a mistake to marry Gabriela Bo so hastily, asked for forgiveness from Gabriela and her family, and stated that he should have married Valeria the first time around. "I want to use this moment," began Cristian, "to tell Valeria that she is the love of my life and I want everyone to know that I have only loved this woman. I feel well, I am very happy, everything is beautiful." Cristian negated that Valeria was pregnant, and explained his mother's absence: "She isn't here because she is having back and spinal column problems, and she is currently receiving treatment in Europe." When asked how it felt to be reunited with Cristian, Valeria said, "It's our destiny, we were always meant for each other." In regard to his marriage with Gabriela, Cristian stated, "I want to ask for forgiveness from Valeria and her family for making that mistake. I only ask that we have the opportunity to share our lives together. I am very happy and thankful for her whole family."

Lucero and Mijares were among the celebrities invited to the wedding ceremony, who revealed the secret of a happy marriage: "Respect, love, tolerance, and admiration." Although Veronica could not attend the wedding, Cristian's grandmother, Dona Socorro, said, "No I don't think that's true, but if it were, it would be a double blessing for us," when asked to comment on Valeria's pregnancy. Kike Santander appeared to be content with the singer's new marriage, although his wife is Gabriela's cousin. "We came here with the profound wish that everything goes well with Cristian and Valeria and that they find stability as a married couple."

Cristian Castro to wed today! The wedding will take place in Miami at the Hotel Ritz Carlton of Key Biscayne, followed by a religious ceremony in Mexico. Although the couple has not publicly announced their marital plans, Kike Santander has affirmed that the wedding will take place today. The wedding will have tight security to prohibit the press from entering the hotel and to maintain order and privacy. The couple will have their honeymoon in Paris. A representative from BMG Record revealed that Cristian may allow the press to take pictures of the couple after the ceremony. It is rumored that Cristian gave Valeria a wedding ring valued at $70,000.

It is still uncertain whether or not Cristian's ex-wife, Gabriela Bo, will attend the wedding - Bo's boyfriend is Leandro Liberman, Valeria's brother.

Kike Santander, the padrino of Cristian's wedding, arrived in Miami today after a trip to Venezuela. A television show in Miami showed footage of Valeria Liberman in a shopping mall in Miami with her parents, trying on a white princess-style wedding dress, designed by a Columbian designer, with a pricetag of $8,000. The dress was created in the short period of 15 days because the couple originally planned to only have a civil marriage, not a religious one. The wedding reception carries a hefty pricetag as well - each plate costs $200. The popular Mexican singer, Ana Gabriel, said that she was invited to Cristian's wedding but had to decline due to prior engagements.

Yesterday, Cristian Castro visited the island of Carmen City one day before his wedding to perform his last concert as a bachelor. He arrived on a commercial airplane at 6:25 PM, dressed in a pair of jeans, t-shirt, and beige jacket. After getting off the plane with a smile on his face, Cristian signed autographs for the fans that were awaiting him in the terminal. In an interview, Cristian confessed that he is nervous about his marriage. "I don't really know what to say, the truth is that I am scared, for this is the second time, but I hope that it lasts for my whole life. Valeria is the love of my life, although it is inevitable that I would be a bit nervous about what is going to happen." The singer also stated that he will continue working on his next album, which will be released in October. The CD will have cumbian rhythms but will continue to have the style that his fans are accustomed to. Cristian took a black car to his hotel and later performed at the Pueblo Theatre.

Cristian Castro (29) will tie the knot with Valeria Liberman (29) on Friday, July 30, 2004 at a private wedding ceremony at Kike Santander's (songwriter, producer) home, and will later hold a reception at the Hotel Ritz-Carlton in Miami. Although the specifics of the wedding are unknown, Santander, the "padrino" of the cerermony, has stated that the final preparations are in place. Unlike Castro's first wedding with Gabriela Bo, only a few family members and friends are invited, for the young couple want to avoid the press and want to have an intimate celebration. These wedding plans came as a surprise because Cristian recently divorced his now ex-wife, Gabriela, just 18 days ago in a Miami family court. After signing the papers, Cristian commented that this was one of the happiest moments of his life, and even signed autographs for some of his awaiting fans. A close friend and violinist named Olga Breeskin states, "I talked with him...the truth is that they are very happy, Cristian is content, they make a loving vouple, both of them are attractive, young, and full of energy. It was a great satisfaction to see them together and loving each other in every moment. Their love is transparent even through their pores, they look great together, and he [Cristian] already introduced me to Valeria and I truly feel they make a great pair. The inspiration that she instills in him is beautiful." In 2002, Cristian was engaged to Liberman and his mother (Veronica Castro) had flown to Argentina to ask for her hand in marriage in behalf of her beloved son. Unfortunately, Cristian called off the wedding just a few days before the ceremony because he did not know if he was making the right decision. Marcos Valdes, Cristian's half-brother, hopes that he will be invited to this wedding, stating, "I admire, I love him very much and I hope that he reaches all the success that he deserves in the world."

Cristian Castro performed at Dodgers Stadium at approximately 3:00 PM, then went to San Diego to sing at the Open Air Theatre, as part of the last leg of his 2004 Tour. He was accompanied by Obie Bermudez and Tranzas.
