Supplies needed

psp of course
A tube of choice
Simple filters
Funhouse filters

1. open a new graphic at 1200 x your grapic height plus 10 ( i used 1200 x 346 my tube was 336 in height)

2. Selections, select all. Copy your tube and minimize for use later. Paste into selection. (right click, paste, paste into selection)

3. Selections, select none. Effects, image effects, seamless tile at the default settings. then merge all and flatten

4. Effects, texture effects, use the default setting with whatever texture you want with it. Use your judgement and use what looks best for your tube. don't choose one to terribly busy remember we will be putting text on this.

5. Effects, simple filters, 4 way average.

6. Then in a light color (or white) make a new layer and flood fill the layer with that lighter color. Take your blend mode and put it to soft light and your opacity to around 85. you can go lower or higher there depending on the darkness of your colors.

7. Layers, merge, merge all flatten

8. Effects, funhouse, Radial Moirror (not radial mirror)

9. Effects, image effects, seamless at the default setting.

10. You should still have your tube in your clipboard. paste it as a new layer in your graphic. Take your mover tool and move it to the left side (or right side if you choose)

11. Effects, 3d effects, drop shadow of your choice. Duplicate the layer and make sure your bottom layer is the one highlighted. Effects, distortion effects, wind at this setting

Repeat the process with the wind going the opposite direction. Merge all and flatten

12. File, export, jpeg optimizer. I have mine on 30 to use with music but 20 is just fine. save it with the name you wish and you are done!

You can use this in incredimail or in outlook express being a sideborder. Have fun with it and i'd love to see results!
