Please feel free to text link to this tutorial or print it out for your own use. But do not copy and paste this into any other web pages or emails thank you! This tutorial has been written for those that are comfortable with the program. There are no screen shots as this is one that someone asked me to write and i didn't make the screenshots like I normally would have.
Supplies:
Paint shop pro
Animation Shop (optional)
A tube bling (optional)
A tube of your choice - I used Joel Adams you have to purchase a license to use his art. You may do so
here.
A scrap kit of your choice (i used
shabby princess urban kiwi you need one that has a ribbon or stitching)
Any embellishments or alphas
Are you ready?? Let's get started! Make sure you keep my sample in mind!
1. Open an image 600 x 500 minimize for later use.
2. Choose at least 3 papers from your scrap kit. But you can choose more, depends on the look you are wanting. Resize them all to about 150 x 150 squares.
3. Make your blank image the active one and start to copy and paste the squares in a random pattern. Remember it's supposed to look like a quilt.
4. Take your ribbon or stitching and use it to cover the seams (look at my example to see what i'm meaning) You may have to resize the stitch and then duplicate and move down for the horizontal lines. For the verticle, just duplicate one of the horizontals and image, free rotate, left, 90 degrees making sure only that layer will rotate. Then place it and duplicate it and move it to cover all those lines as well.
5. When all your lines are covered. Go to image, add borders, 3 in a dark color in your background.
6. Copy and paste your main tube on the graphic and size and place it where you think it looks best. Add a drop shadow of your choosing.
7. Get your alpha's out and copy and paste them where you would like them to be. You can also just use a font doesn't have to be an alpha.
8. Close your background and tube and merge visible. Add a drop shadow to your merged alpha layer.
9. Add your copyrights and merge all flatten. If you don't plan on animating make sure to resize and save it at this point.
If you plan on animating, please keep on.
10. Open your bling or gif file in animation shop. See how many frames it has.
11. Go to your graphic you brought over from psp and duplicate the frames so it has the exact same amount as your animation.
12. Go to your animation and click on the blue bar to make sure it's active. On your keyboard hit ctrl-a to highlight all the frames and then ctrl-c to copy them.
13. Go to your graphic and click on the blue bar to make it active then hit ctrl-a to highlight all the frames. Hit ctrl-e to paste them onto that first frame. When you find where you want your animation click with your mouse and it will paste all the frames in the same spot to keep the animation from jumping.
14. You may now resize your graphic, optimize and save!
The finished product is yours to do with as you wish. But please do not sell things that you have made from this tutorial. It is written and copyrighted to me and is registered with
