Paint Shop Pro
Tubes of your choice (at least 4 but more is possible)

Font of your choosing

Please do not use my tubes unless you have a license for them. I used Aaron Warner. You may view his web site here. Or you may purchase a license here.

1. Open your tubes and messenger image. Minimize your tubes.

2. Take your selection tool (make sure it's set at rectangle) and select the top box your conversation would be in.

3. Take your tubes and resize them so they will fit in that area. Copy and paste as new layer and move them so they look good to you.

4. Go to selection, invert then go to each tube layer and hit delete. Remember you only want the faces so you should be deleting the bottom parts of each tube layer. Deselect.

5. Hide your messenger layer and merge visible.

6. On the tube layer lower your opacity to around 75% (use your best judgment your graphics may be different than mine) un hide your messenger layer and merge visible.

Your graphic should look like mine so far.

7. Take your selection tool again and select the top window on the right side. Where there would be your friends picture. Resize another tube and copy and paste as new layer. Center it where you want in that selection. Invert and delete. Repeat for the bottom one as well.

8. Pick a dark and a light color from your tubes and get your font tool ready.

9. In the white area below your tubes (where you would type what you want to say) type something in there. You can do it like you are having a conversation or just have fun with it :)

10. In the area near the little green man (top left side) type a name in there so it looks like you are actually connected with someone.

11. Go to image, canvas size and change it to at least 600 x 600. we will crop it down later.

12. Copy your main tube and paste as new layer. Move it to a position that looks good with your tube choices.

13. Add a drop shadow of your choice on both layers. (If you want this to be transparent skip this step and move onto 15.)

14. Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a color of your choosing. You can skip this step if you are not using drop shadows.

15. Crop or resize to your liking.

16. Add your text and your copyright and you are finished!
