Remember When... by La Pashe

Over the last few months I have been working closely with an artist designing something special to bring to the crafting world
Well all I can say is that it has even exceeded my expectations,
new fresh, nothing else like this on the market, Ohhhhhh you are going to be so spoilt...
I have put a Design Team to help me with the card samples.

Well here it is.. A new range in decoupage sheets that will fill a full A5 card when made up with no need for any other embellishments & it is full of nostalgia.

This would not only be a card it would be a gift of memories, It could be given as a card with a frame as a gift, something that would look fabulous as a series hanging on a wall.
Or how about a scrapbook page, it will still leave plenty of room to add journal wording and photo's

The Remember When... Decoupage range will be available soon in series of 3.

Below is some of my examples of Series 1

Colour Version

April

Sweet as a Cupcake

I just love the Celebration stamp set by PTI, lots of matting a layering here,
then a clever little folded card added to the centre with a matching ribbon
to hold it in place topped with contasting circles and a PTI stamped cupcake.

This is the inside of the centre fold piece with the cup cake image attached,
Stamped sentiment and patterned
paper by PTI.

Distressed Tile Card

I thought it was time that I revisted the tiled mosiac card
I have made a few in my time but after seeing it again on Nichole's blog
I thought I'd give it another whirl with a delicate look,
so out came the lavender and white and a Music Plate Stamp by Stampsmith.
I used the Cut'n'Dry foam by ranger to sponge the lavender ink
over the edges of the tiled pieces.

Wedding Day Card

A trifold card, the stamps used were from the wedding range
from Papertrey Ink also the new Palette Hybrid colours
exclusive to them Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet.
I stamped the oval and cut out the aperture then stamped through
the aperture to ensure that I got the words lined up correctly I layered up a couple of the
flowers to make them pop, and stamped the leaves and corner swirls in the Sweet blush.

Sympathy Card

Probably the hardest card of all to make, made simple by Papertrey Ink.
Sometimes you just need to let a friend know that you are thinking of them at this time and
Papertrey really knows how to help with this Everyday Blessing stamp set.

Sketch Challenge

I started with a 5"x5" card and used brilliance peacock ink to stamp the
PTI butterfly as a background on the card. I then punched out slots along
the opening edge on the front panel of the card.
I then cut a strip from some brown card stock to weave through the slots,
this gave me the 3 squares that were needed for the edge then punched out the blossoms
from the same blue card stock as the base card stuck them to the center
of the brown squares then dro[[ed a coloured pearl into the centre of each blossom.
Using my scalloped nestibilies I cut out 3 ovals in brown, blue and white
and layered them on top of each other. I used the same stamp as I did for the background
to adorn the ovals , and then layered up a sentiment for the bottom of the design.

Glimmer Mist Cards

I started this cardby playing around with the Glimmer Mists using gold, lemon zest and honey dew
I spritzed of some white card stock until I got the colour
I liked I then dried it using my heat gun so that I could get to work on the stamping.
I used my favourite Clarity rubber stamp inked with black archival ink to stap the
image onto the card that I had used the glimmer mist on.
The picture doesn't show to well the glimmer and twinkle this has but believe
me it is scruptious. Using a lime green base card and contrasting black card
I layered up the image and then punched out the blossoms from the left over black card.
I added some coloured pearls to the centre of the blossoms.

I had a little play with the Glimmer mists tonight and have the very inky fingers to prove it,
I keep promising myself to wear rubber gloves but it never happens.
I used tissue paper to absorb the mists layering it up from lightest in the centre and spraying the
darker colours to the outer edges it was all a bit trial and error
but how ever I use them the results are always a spectacular mingle of twinkling colours.
I wasn't patient enough to wait for it to dry so out came the faithful heat gun to dry it ready to use.

Friendship Card

I bought these pretty round Bauble Stamps from Graphicus they have a seperate hanger cap
which can be added to the top of the bauble to make Christmas tree baubles
but I thought they were to pretty that they just cried out to be coloured with my Prisma Pencils.
The only tricky part was cutting out the round baubles once I had added the colour
but I find that the larger the scissers I use the neater the cut.
The black border stamp is by DMD and was a delight to use it stamped so cleanly
and it joined perfectly which is another good reason to use clear stamps being able to
align them and see exactly where you are placing them on your card.

Christmas in the Pink

Oh dear.... Christmas cards in April I can see all the raised eyebrows from here (ha ha ha)
well what can I say, I bought the snowflake stamps in a little set designed by Impression Obsession
in preperation for the winter months. Unfortunatley I have to use bought craft items as soon as I get them.
Lets face it the stamps are gorgeous and it would be such a shame to lock
them away in a cupboard untill the winter months so I thought I would lets you all suffer my addiction too lol!

Thank You Card

A clean looking Blossom card a little oriental without the usual
red, black or gold.
Stamped with a Stampscape branch stamp in a light brown ink then punched
out the little flower heads and turned up the petals from the centre,
punched out mini leaves in green to add behind the flowers.
I added little glass bead wedding confetti to the centre of the blossoms to add a little glamour.
