Unique Hair for the Unique Person

DIY Dread Extensions Kits

Dread extensions are single or double-ended loose dreads that you braid directly and individually into your real hair, to give you a full (or partial) head of dreads that last 4-8 weeks, just like salon extensions.

A single ended (or single looped) dread looks like this:

S.E.s are great for adding accents to “real” dreads, or for people who don’t want much volume.

A double ended (DE) dread extension looks like this:

It is literally two dreads in one, so it takes half the time to install and gives you more volume and scalp coverage :)

A ‘standard’ dreads kit contains around 100 dreads (i.e. 50 DEs), but these numbers can be anything up to doubled if you want more volume, or halved if you have a Mohawk, undercut, or have shaved other bits off your head ;)

Dreads can be solid coloured, neatly candycaned, roughly swirled, transitional, or a combination, and come with optional spangly extras like glitter thread and beads :D You can even give them a cyber edge by adding rexlace, tubing and foam.

As you can see, it’s super easy and does not require any salon training! Although a friend to help you do the back is a bonus ;) Or if you can get to Somerset, I could install them for you :)
