Congratulations to the 2006 champions, McGill!
The Canadian University Chess Championship is a recent addition to the Canadian chess calendar. Each year Canadian universities are invited to vie for the Queen's Cup, made possible by donations in 2004 by the Alma Matter Society of Queen's University. The names on the trophy include the winners of the Inter-university Chess Championship held in 2003 and the Ontario University Chess Championship in 2004. The current goal of the CPSCA is to make the annual tournament accessible to the several excellent teams from outside Ontario/Quebec - post-secondary chess organizers outside central Canada are needed!!
