CPAC Celebrates 1st Anniversary
On February 24, 2009, CPAC Cat Rescue celebrated one year of rescue work. Since our inception, we have taken in more than 50 cats. Most of them were from a breeder going out of business and a few were from displaced families. More than 40 cats have been adopted since we joined Petfinder ten months ago.
We would like to thank our adopters for choosing our cats to be members of their families. During this year, we have met the most wonderful and interesting people, and all of them share one important charactersitic: they are cat lovers.
We would also like to thank Petfinder for their web site that allows a tiny cat rescue group in small-town Missouri to place these cats. Without Petfinder, we would not have been able to rescue this many cats or reach so many cat lovers.
Happy anniversary, CPAC Cat Rescue! and here's to another great year!
Our Mission
CPAC Cat Rescue has several cats from a breeder who let her population get too big. Warm and loving, these cats demonstrate their appreciation with loud purrs. They are used to a multi-cat environment but have not been exposed to children. Some have been exposed to dogs.
All cats are spayed or neutered, negative for feline leukemia and FIV, current or started on vaccinations, dewormed, and on flea control. Prior to surgery for spaying or neutering, each receives pre-surgical bloodwork to evaluate for existing medical problems. Any ongoing medical conditions will be documented by our veterinarian and fully explained prior to adoption. For your convenience, our adoption agreement is posted on our "Adoption Agreement" page in this web site. Please review our lovely cats and contact us if you would like to add one of them to your family: cpac.catrescue@yahoo.com . All cats are cared for by Dr. Christine L. Martin, DVM. They are housed at Critters and Pals Animal Clinic and special foster homes in Lamar, Missouri.
