We would like to thank-you for taking the time to visit our site. 

Coyote Flat Ranch is in central Alberta.  We raise purebred Morgan Horses and 0ur Morgans are used for ranch work as well as the occasional parade, clinic, pleasure drive or ride when time permits of course.

We don't have a huge herd of Morgans and only raise a couple foals everyother year.  Our herd currently consists of 3 proven mares, 1 future stallion prospect, 5 two year olds, & of course De Novo Shameless.  Our mares are all used and have proven themselves as family mounts as well as working cattle before they are bred.  We feel very strongly that if they (either mare or stallion) do not meet and fill our expectations in disposition, trainability & work ethic, then they are not bred.  We pride ourselves in our Morgans having Bones, Brains, & Braun.

Saying this, we have also decided to change our progam some so we can promote it better.  The injury that De Novo Shameless received ending his breeding career gave us considerable time to rethink our program & our goals.  As many of you know, we admire & acknowledge all the hard work and dedication it takes to show the Morgans, but realistically it's not us.  Some of the mares we have had have had some great performance lines and their offspring proved it, but with us not showing and only using them as working ranch horses got us into a completely different and unexpected market.  So we are going with it!
