Tomorrow You Can Stop Imagining
by Emma.

“What?” she snapped as she noticed the blue eyes staring at her through the review mirror.

“You could at least smile ,”

“And maybe you should just concentrate on driving,” she snapped again, rolling her eyes at her the boy.

“And maybe you should stop being so bitter and twisted,” he continued, glancing from the mirror to the road.

“And maybe you should stop interfering with my life,” She paused, smiling sweetly at the mirror as he glanced at her, “I’ll be as bitter and twisted as I like thank you very much. Especially when I have an over controlling brother ruling my life, hello, get your own,”

“I have my own life, and this is what you wa-”

, shut up,” couldn’t help but smirk as cut her boyfriend off, the slight smile disappearing as the girl turned to face her, “You alright?”

She just shrugged. She had no idea anymore.

“See, she doesn’t even know!”

!” groaned, whacking him on the back of the head, before turning back to the younger girl, “?”

“I can’t do this,” she finally responded, “Stop the car,”

“You what?” frowned at her, “Don’t be silly,”

“Stop the car!” began to panic and unbuckled her seatbelt as bought the car to a stop on the side of the road. She had the door open and had climbed out before her brother had even managed to turn the engine off.

, get back in the car,” she ignored calling after her as she moved away from the vehicle, unsure of what she was actually doing.

, we’re gonna be late if you don’t get back in the car,” she flinched slightly as placed his hand on her shoulder, unaware that he had followed her from the car.

“Am I doing the right thing?” she turned to face her older brother, unable to get her voice to a proper speaking level it came out just above a whisper.

“Are you happy? Like truly, really happy? And you know you can’t lie to me,” she smiled slightly as he squeezed her hand gently, showing that no matter how much they fought, he would always be her big brother, her protector.

“I don’t know,” she answered honestly, “God, I’m so screwed up,”

“Well, if you’re screwed up, then so I am, same blood line see,” he laughed slightly, pulling her into a hug.

“How do you know?” she finally asked when he pulled away.

“Know what?” he raised an eyebrow at her, and she rolled her eyes, amazed at how think he could be.

“That you’ve found the one,” she glanced down at her hands, not wanting him to see the uncertainty she had about her previous decisions.

“I dunno,” he shrugged and she looked up to see him glance back at who was waiting patiently by the car, “I guess its kinda like when they say its someone who you can picture yourself spending the rest of your life with,”

nodded slightly as he continued.

“Only I know that’s not true,” he smiled lightly as she frowned at him, “see, someone once said to me, that it’s someone who you can’t imagine spending the rest of your life without. I’d like to believe that one,”

“Are we going?” grinned at as ’s voice interrupted them.

“Don’t say a word,” warned his sister as he noticed the glint enter her eyes.

“You know I love ,” She smiled, before they fell silent, “I guess we better get going, don’t want to be late,”

,” he pulled her back by the arm as she began to walk back to the car, “are you sure you’re doing the right thing?”

He watched his little sister pause as she got lost in thought, biting her lip, before she nodded briefly. That was a good enough answer for him, he knew he couldn’t protect her forever, and that her decisions where her decisions, not matter how wrong, or right they may be.

“Yay!” allowed a real smile to cross her lips as cheered as she hopped back in the car.

“See that’s the smile I want to see tonight!”

“Yes Mum,” poked her tongue out, settling back in the seat as the car finally continued the journey to the hotel.

Collapsing on the bed, she glanced around at the small hotel room. It was cosy, just the way she liked it, not like the over the top, expensive, constantly cold ones she had experienced while touring with the band. This one was just like home. A knock on the door bought her out of her trance and she reluctantly pulled herself up off the bed, cursing at whoever was on the other side of the door for interrupting the first moment she had to herself since had picked her up earlier that morning.

“Thought you might like some company,” grinned sheepishly at her as she opened the door.

gone off has he?”

“Yeah, him and went to explore, or something, and I was bored,” laughed, knowing the girl knew her so well, “but I thought some girly time was needed,”

“Well you could help me decide what to wear…” trailed off as she watched her friends light up, before it turned into a frown.

“Shouldn’t you already have that decided?”

“I changed my mind,” she shrugged before pulling some clothes out of her suitcase, “Jeans, or a dress?”

“Depends on who you want to impress,” grinned cheekily at her, “I hear ’s looking quite smart these days,”

“Smart?” snorted, rolling her eyes, “I don’t want anyone who looks ‘smart’,”

“Well I’d be lying if I said hot,” the other girl laughed, sitting back on the bed.

“This coming from the girl who has the worst taste in men in the world,” giggled, as she sat too.

“Well if you saw your what your brother had underneath all those clothes you’d be changing your mind like that,” she snapped her finger.

“That is just wrong on so many levels,” shuddered slightly.

“You love it,”

“I really don’t,” laughed, “Come on, you can help me with my hair,”

Sighing, she waited for the elevator to reach the ground floor. She knew she was running late now, the butterflies flipping in her stomach, dread coursing through her veins as she thought of all the people that would be filling the ballroom. People she barely knew. Checking her reflection in the mirror she smoothed out her black dress, flicking her dark hair over her shoulders as the doors finally slid open.

“Evening Miss ,” she smiled as one of the bellboys greeted her, “Excited for the wedding tomorrow, seems as if the rehearsal dinners going off,”

“Ecstatic about it,” smiled through clenched teeth, everyone knew who she was, “And that’s just where I’m heading now,”

‘Have a good evening miss,” the boy smiled at her before the doors slid shut, leaving her alone in the entrance hall.

Bracing herself, she entered the ballroom. Immediately she was ambushed but mostly strangers as she stepped through the door. amazing how when your famous, you find family you never knew about she forced a smile as winked at her from the other side of the room, surrounded by and and their girlfriends..

It was then she saw him, almost not even recognizing him as she glanced over the group dancing. His hair was perfectly straight, a style that she hadn’t seen in months, and his clothes were immaculate and matching for once. As if he knew she was watching him, his eyes slowly met hers, a small smile playing on his face as he winked at her, she could feel the blush slowly creeping up her face.

“The grooms quite a looker isn’t he?” she looked at the girl who was talking to her, Gracie she thought her name might have been, blinking at her as she spoke.

“He’s not too bad,” managed to get out, “Um, if you’ll excuse me, I just need some fresh air,” she finished, spotting the doors to the terrace, before leaving the blonde on her own.

She was almost across the dance floor before she felt someone grab her arm, freezing immediately she knew who it was.

“Dance with me?” his eyes looked at her innocently, as she saw grin behind him.

“I, erm, no?” managed, glancing down at the clutch bag she held in her hand as took it form her.

“Just one dance, then you can go get drunk with ,” smiled again, “Come on, I’m the groom, you have to dance with me,”

“Says who?” She demanded, finding her tongue.

“Says me,” laughed and pushed her into his arms.

“And me,” whispered into her ear as he wrapped his arms around her waist, not allowing her to move.

For a minute she gave in, taking in the way she felt secure and safe in his arms, how the feeling of his body against hers gave her butterflies, and how his scent sent her weak at the knees. Resting her head against his shoulder, she smiled as she heard him humming gently along with the music, picturing the smile he would have had on his face. And then she spotted Gracie across the dance floor watching them, and she grew conscious of the other people in the room, knowing they would be watching them, talking about them.

“What are you thinking about?” asked as he felt her step back.

She managed a small smile, “you straightened your hair,” immediately saying the first thing that come to her head, knowing she couldn’t tell him the real reason, not wanting to give him the real reason.

“Yeah, gotta keep a clean cut image for the wife,” he winked at her and she felt the butterflies rise in her stomach.

“You’re not married yet,” reminded him.

“Well I don’t want to give her any reasons to stand me up,” he pulled her back against his body, “Do I now?”

“Guess not,” she sighed, swaying to the music.

?”

“Mmm?” she shivered as he moved his hand along her waist, tightening his grip.

“How do you know when you’ve found the one?”

“Seriously?” He paused, looking straight into her eyes.

“Seriously,” she nodded.

“well you think of life before, and you just wonder how you managed to live without that person, and then you think of what your life would be like without them if they left. That’s how you know, when you can’t imagine a life that doesn’t have them in it,”

She smiled, “You’ve been feeding all his romantic lines then, haven’t you?”

“I knew s were untrustworthy,” he grinned slightly, “or maybe it’s just a Judd thing, I saw you looking at my fake vowels last week,”

“Guess you shouldn’t be marrying me then if you don’t want crazy,” pouted, pulling away, “Those were fake?”

“I did just say that,” laughed, pulling her back into his embrace, kissing her shoulder as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“My cousin Gracie’s eyeing you up,” answered.

“It’s really too bad for her that this time tomorrow I’ll be a married man,” he answered casually.

“You sure you want to do this?”

“Nothing would make me more happier in the world to have you as my wife, you should know that by now. Your not have second thoughts are you?”

“No. there’s nothing more in the world that I want to be, I was just checking,” smiled nervously.

“Good, because I can’t wait til I can tell the world that you’re my wife,”

“Your already telling them” laughed.

“It’s because I love you so much, plus it wards off evil cousins named Gracie,”

“I love you too,” she ignored the rest of his comment, brushing her lips against his lightly, “and tomorrow you can stop imagining,”
