Courin; The Nile.

Not so long ago, across the continent in a place formally known as Africa, was a wolf pack. Quite oddley was the scientifically pack placed, upon the edge of the savhanna and jungle. There was a new litter of pups, this fine August morning, of the *Beta's. It consisted of a measly three, two males and a female.

Months passed, prospairity filling the air of the pack. Then, as the litter of pups neared their ninth moon, there was a stillness in the air. They raised their heads, looking to the horizon to find a gathering of lions. The rival pride. The three siblings returned from a practice hunt with their mother, Silva. They halted.

*Nina, the eldest of the pups, stood forth, her green eyes glinting as she stared. *Nanook, the youngest, stood back by his mother. Now all there was left was the middle child, a grey, white, and red wolf. Courin. Stepping ahead of his sibblings, the previously dubbed 'to be' alpha of the pack, walked foreward through his pack, before emerging to the front. Holding his head high the Milo fearlessly stated. "You want war, you'll get war."

From that point on, the battle raged, the pack being forced farther and farther off their lands. There were losses, and Nanook was taken captive and later killed. They were left in a marsh valley, wounded and manged. Months past, the pack members dying off slowley of disease, before a fateful day.

It was midday as Courin, now the alpha of the dying pack, stood atop a hill over looking the territory. Ears twitched as he sniffed the air at the stillness. It was too still. He diligently scanned the horizon, and spotted an azure speck. He quirked a brow as it grew nearer and larger, before he relised what it was. A great wall of water. It had been rumored, that with the days of rain, the rocks would fail. Frantically Courin yelled "Get out of here! Up the hill!"

The ran hectically towards the nearest hill, though the water was faster. Now, only Nina and Courin stood atop the hill, a masive lake filling what was left of their packlands. Gone, it was all gone. Turning they walked away, trying to forget their past. The somehow made it across the sea to the north, going their separate ways.

The Present

Now, in the wintery lands of the north, lays Courin. Nina had died, but by his hands. He was now resident of the Umbra pack, a Melan of good health. Proudly he holds his head, only to dip it to *Shi'Shadou Misuto, the *Shi'ra, who consequently, holds his rather flirty heart.
