 1. Owain fon Williams

Owain fon Williams signed from Crewe Alexandra in pre-season, has been fantastic for us so far and looks like improving, he has played at all Welsh national levels except 1st squad and if he continues his form with us a full cap shouldn't be too far away for the young Welshman, former County boy Wayne Hennessey better keep an eye out for Williams.

2. Johnny Mullins

Johnny Mullins was signed from recently relegated Mansfield Town, he is a strong defender who can play in the right or center back position, he is a powerful force in attacks running down the wing at blistering pace, he can beat defenders and deliver beautiful crosses, won Mansfield's player of the season ahead of a 30+ goal striker, certainly one to look out for.

3. Michael Rose

Michael was a crucial part of County's promotion winning side, as well as being solid in defence he got down the line quickly and whipped in a few good crosses, although not the most skillful of all players certainly made up for it with his killer balls, as well as pitching in with a few corners, he scored a handful of freekicks as well as assisting in a few from dead balls as well.

4. Dominic Blizzard

Dominic signed from Watford on a free-transfer in the summer of 2007 after a loan spell prior to that and was a big part of the record breaking 9 in a row, he was injured for part of the 07/08 season he played 27 games scoring a goal in the process, he is a real presence in midfield and it's easy to see why he has had Premiership experience if only a couple of games.

5. Gareth Owen 

Stockport County's captain and influential defender, truly a presence at the back has really stepped into the limelight since the departure of Ashley Williams, can keep his head when others are getting agitated around him and has the ability to dictate the play, signed from Oldham Athletic in Summer 2007 after spending the previous season on loan, will surely be the key to our defence next year.

6. Jim McNulty

Jim signed from rivals Macclesfield Town in January 2008 and has gone on to be a revelation since then, a fantastic defender, can play left or center and rarely gets beaten, it is debatable whether he got the first goal at Wembley for County in the play-off final either way without him the goal may never have been scored and County may not have won, he has also made a number of youth appearances for the Scottish national team.

7. Anthony Pilkington

Anthony Pilkington is arguably the best player at the club, he's fast, skillful, determined, got an eye for goal and has an eye for a pass, tipped as a future international, Pilkington is one of our Wembley goalscorers as well as picking up the Wembley man of the match award, one of the hottest prospects in league football, Pilkington certainly has a future ahead of him, signed from Atherton Collieries in December 2006.

8. Gary Dicker

Gary was signed from Irish outfit University College Dublin (UCD) in Summer 2007 and has gone on to be a regular midfield maestro, playing consistently well he showed why Jim Gannon spent £40,000 on him, he was a crucial part of our promotion winning side and big things are expected of the Irishman.

9. Peter Thompson

The signing of Peter Thompson from Northern Irish side Linfield really got County fans mouth's watering at the prospect of a 44 goal striker, the Northern Irish international chose County over Norwich City, Thompson scored 44 goals for Linfield last season as they cruised to the league title and County fans will certainly be hoping for the same.

10. Carl Baker.

Carl signed from Morecambe in Summer 2008 for £225,000 County fans are relishing the prospect of the Baker-Thompson link up, Baker who has a decent goal tally has made England Amateur caps for his time in the conference and is tipped to move onto greater things, Baker can also play on the left wing.

11. Tommy Rowe

Tommy is a product of the successful County academy, progressing through the ranks since being released by Man United as a fresh faced 14 year old to a developed star in County's line up with a whole host of Premiership and Championship teams it's crucial that Tommy keeps his feet on the ground if he's to develop to his full potential.

14. Jason Taylor

Jason is a quality player for County a real commanding central midfielder, in times of emergency he can be utilised as a right back, he was a key part of County's promotion winning squad, he won the clubs young player award at the end of the 2006/2007 season and looks to be constantly improving his game after signing from Oldham Athletic after a successful loan spell in 2006 that helped County stay in the football league.

Michael is a real defensive general and can even play upfront or in midfield if he has to, Raynes is also a member of the hugely successful County academy and has gone from strength to strength since and has never looked back, he has been captain a couple of times and is looking to establish himself as a first choice defender knowing he'll be getting competition off Owen, McNulty, Mullins and potentially McNeil.
