"Babe" - The nickname Oliver Hardy acquired.

"The Boys" - Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy - who else?

"Tent" - A branch of the 'Sons Of The Desert', each is named after a particular film e.g. 'County Hospital'.

Grand Sheik - The Exalted Ruler (or "the exhausted ruler" as Stan Laurel once said in the film, 'Sons of the Desert'.)  He or she organises the meetings, acting as a chairperson and spokesperson for the individual tents.  The Vice Sheik is second in charge, as it were. 

Shekel Sheik - He or she is in charge of a tent's finances.

Grand Vi'zier - He or she organises club membership and assists in the running of a tent, the term originally comes from Turkey but was often used in Ancient Egypt for the name of the Prime Minister.

Raffle Sheik - Runs and organizes the raffles

"Oasis" - Another term used for tent.

Constitution - Made up of "articles", the constitution is a set format for meetings, which were written when the society was formed, though largely comedic, they do hold the essence of the society within.

Toast - Held every meeting and dedicated to "the boys" in accordance with the constitution.

Son - An expression generally used to describe all members of the 'Sons of The Desert' organisation whether you are male or female.

Fezzes - They are an essential part of any Sons' attire, to be proudly worn at meetings and used to find other like-minded people in a crowd.   

Camal Gaurd - The Son appointed to organizing the transport for the tent he is a member of.

Bowler - The type of hat Stan and Ollie wore in most of their movies.
