What is 'County Hospital' and the 'Sons of the Desert'?

The 'Sons of the Desert' (www.sotd.org is their official web site) are an international appreciation society, dedicated to the legendary comedy duo, Laurel and Hardy, it was formed in 1965 by Stan Laurel and has since become a vast, world-wide organization which has chapters (or tents) in many different towns and cities on the globe.  'County Hospital' is one of these tents and is based in the northern English city of Bradford, Yorkshire, it is a very famous tent and was formed in 1979, this is a web site for members and non-members of 'County Hospital', it includes tent news, events, information about us and of course, Laurel and Hardy!

The Grand Sheik (leader) of our tent is Mr. David Thackray and the Web Editor of this site is now David Brian who will be taking over shortly.

Recent e-mails from you about the main 'County Hospital' cartoon and logo (above) have told it has occasionally not appeared when logging on to the site, sorry about this but it is only because the site is currently under constuction and change so therefore with certain laptops and computers, the home page images may not appear.
