This began as a small 4-H rabbit project that soon became a lot bigger. My name is Elizabeth Turner, I am 14 years old and I have been raising lionheads rabbit since fall of 2006. I love it soooo much, I cant imagine what I would do with out my bunnies keeping me busy. It is great to go to shows and visit. I have met some very great people like Michelle, Roxanne, Lydia, Janine, and Joe. It is has been so fun to talk to them and get great advice. The has some very NICE lionheads! I also think very fun to tell people about this great new breed. That is how I met Heather, Ashley, and Hiedi, Heather is in my 4-H group, it is great to visit with them:)
I have a small rabbitry located in Placerville,California raising show quality, fully pedigreed, double maned lionhead rabbits. My goal is to keep the rabbitry small and have time to handle every bunny a lot, and I let my bunnies go out in the playpen as often as I can. I have about 20 rabbit right now, not includiding the babies in the nestbox. I am trying to get my numbers down to about 15, and have litters on occasion.
I have made the desiscion to have a herd reduction, as time goes on more will become available. I still plan to attend show, maybe not as many, not sure yet. The desicion came up because I have a lot of bunnies and want to make sure that EVERY rabbit gets lots of tlc, with all the rabbits I have now, only some bunny get to plany out in the X-pens on the lawn, or be held. I am also going to be getting a puppy in a near future. I am gonig to get a french bulldog, to show and love. I am just so excited!
This doesn't mean I am leaving the rabbit world
My lines include: Bunny Hutch's, Chow Mane's, Legendary's, Haven's, Mossy Possum's, & Wildhavens.
