"Times 28 Oct 1942 - Wills and Bequests Mr. Thomas Gordon HENSLER, J.P., of Ashstead, Surrey, retired stockbroker, left £28,007 (net personally £27, 918) He left £3,000 and two-thirds of residue to the Cotton College End Fund: Also £1,000 and one-third of residue to the John Fisher School." Mr. Pippet designed the High Altar for the consecration of St. Wilf's by Archbishop Ilsley ( an Old Parker). This altar was moved into the cloisters on the way into the church. The Pippet family are also closely associated with St. Augustine's , Solihull , the family being benefactors , donating & undertaking certain important works of art (murals & windows being designed and painted by designer Joseph A. Pippet.) According to family history Joseph Pippet assisted Pugin in the design of the railings of the Houses of Parliament . Gabriel , Oswald , Regina , and Elphege together with other members of the Pippet family contributed artwork to St. Augustine's. Other work by Joseph includes a mural in St. Begh's , Whitehaven. Aelphage Pippet died in 1942. See link below.
