Happy New Year!... well soon it will be St. Patty's day so I guess I'm a little late on the new year thing... but it is a new year and that means new Ren Fest costumes!!!! But first I must fulfill my position as costume mistress for the upcoming production of "Anne of Green Gables" for the homeschool Acting and Vocal class (which I am also performing in) So it's going to be one hectic spring. I've added a Theater Costumes page to showcase the AoGG costumes as soon as they are completed and I will be updating the Renaissance Costumes page soon with new designs for our upcoming gowns. I think that's all for now. Thanks!

P.S. Leave a comment in the Guestbook if you have any suggestions or questions for me. Thanks.
Merry Christmas!
It is nearing that time of year and I am busy making gifts for various friends and family members.
I have updated the Renaissance page and moved some things around so be sure to look at that.
Due to time constrictions my "Halloween Costume" never got finished and is still hanging on my closet door.
I plan to work on it as soon as I have any spare time (what is that?) and I have some people interested in it
so I'll probably give it away.
That's all I have to say this time. So enjoy the holidays!

Hello,
Halloween is approaching and although I don't condone celebrating halloween I love dressing up. So for my tech campus' Fall Festival I am going to be dressing up as part of a project my Apparel Design class is doing. We are all going to dress up in the styles of different decades from the past hundred years, I've chose the Nineteen Teens. It should be fun but I have a little over two weeks to complete it. I'm thinking about using Butterick pattern #4093. It's in between the end of the Victorian Era and just before the Roaring Twenties. I will post pictures as soon as I have any. Thanks.

Hello All,
We have suffered from a lack of updates! Well hopefully I will be able to update more consistently as I fall into a set routine. I have started an Apparel Design class this school year and I know it will help me with my costuming skills. I already have my Ren Fest costume in the planning stage and also I am working on an idea for a "halloween" costume contest. As well as hoping to work on costumes for the spring play my drama class will be putting on.
I have added a "Do It Yourself" section in which I will post any projects I find that look interesting and I'll try to come up with some of my own. Check it out, and enjoy.
Well that's about all of the costuming updates I have right now. Check in soon to see more.

The OKRenFest is over! It was loads of fun! All of the costumes were finished the day before the Festival and they all looked awesome! I will have pictures up by the end of next week. Then I will try to do a write up on all of them. Keep visiting and if you haven't signed the guestbook yet please do! Thanks

P.S. I have decided that due to a lack of time and resources I will not be making a dress for the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean 2. I'm going to wear my Jack Sparrow shirt instead! Yay for Johnny!! bye
Progress is happening!! I have gotten one of the children's Renaissance costumes cut out and pinned together! I've added the cloak I made for my little sister onto the Renaissance page. The other is soon to come. Also I have decided to make a gown from Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. I'm going to make Elizabeth's Peach Dress. She wears it at the end of the movie.. I plan on wearing it to the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Check in for more updates!

I have purchased patterns and fabric to make Renaissance Costumes for two children (ages 9 and 10) I will be working on them this week and hope to have them completed by Saturday. I will put up pictures as soon as they're done. These Renaissance Costumes are for the children to wear to an upcoming Renaissance Faire which I attended last year and enjoyed immensly. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did.
